Cate Blanchett May Join Marvel’s ‘Thor: Ragnarok’

The Marvel Universe may welcome Cate Blanchett to the fold. She’s in talks to join Thor: Ragnarok. No one knows who she’ll play.

Blanchett’s character in the superhero sequel isn’t known. “Ragnarok,” produced by Kevin Feige, will also feature Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk and the villainous Tom Hiddleston who plays Loki in “The Avengers” universe.

There are guesses though. According to io9,

Valkyrie: We know this character was almost in Thor: The Dark World and that Thor battling with the Valkyries and then joining up with Valkyrie is a Ragnarok rumor we’ve seen.

Amora the Enchantress: Her little sister Amora showed up in season one of Agents of SHIELD, presumably not Amora so that she could be reserved for the movies. Tom Hiddleston’s been pitching her as a character for at least three years. She’s a sometime ally of Loki, which makes including her (and dealing with the undercover Loki plot) pretty obvious.

Also:

In addition to one of those, it could be another character that hasn’t been making the rounds forever. We have heard there’s a female villain in the offing for this movie, which opens up the possibilities of Karnilla, queen of the Norns and an enemy of Asgard, or Hela, the Asgardian goddess of death. Of course, Hela is also Loki’s daughter, but that could be changed.

Yeaaaa, if you got all that, then it’s time to go out and talk to some girls.
