Ariel Winter Got a Breast Reduction at 17 Due to Physical Pain and Industry Bullying

Modern Family‘s Ariel Winter ended up getting breast reduction surgery as a minor because it caused her physical pain. And also because all of the industry which got a kick obsessing over an underage girl’s tits.  She recently told PEOPLE,

“Being a 5-ft.-tall girl and having extremely large breasts is really ostracizing and excruciatingly painful.”

She spent her teenaged years dreading dressing for events and getting bullied online about her wardrobe. Hollywood confirmed for the world’s largest high school.

“I’d just be wearing something anyone else could wear, but I’d read comments saying, ‘She dresses inappropriately.”

While this factored into her ultimately choosing surgery, it was largely to end her back pain.

“It was an instant weight lifted off my chest – both literally and figuratively. There’s a confidence you find when you finally feel right in your body.”

I’m sure everyone will find something else to arbitrarily make fun of her for soon, but I’m glad she’s finally at peace with her body.
