Here’s a Bowie Tribute We Don’t Need, Smashmouth Covers ‘Under Pressure’

David Bowie’s death brought an outpouring of tributes from fellow musicians and celebrities. Iggy Pop said he “resurrected” him. Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers got some new ink in honor of him.

Kanye tweeted out his respect.

Oh, yea, and Smashmouth released a cover of David Bowie’s, “Under Pressure.” As Death and Taxes puts it, “‘Under Pressure’ was mostly a Freddie Mercury/Queen song, with Bowie contributing lyrics and backing vocals.”

Whatever the case, it blows. It’s a hate listen.
