Aaron Paul Joins the Cast of ‘Dark Tower,’ Fulfilling His and Our Dreams

Stephen King published The Gunslinger in 1982 as the first installation of his infamous Dark Tower series. Basically ever since then it’s been trying to become a movie. It’s been futile every year, having been passed on by every major production company and financier until now.

Why is now the perfect time? Matthew McConaughey and Idris Elba are not presently occupied with other projects, so they are able to play the characters of their destiny. McConaughey as our villain and Elba as the hero we definitely do not deserve. Already Dark Tower has set itself up to be the sexiest flick of this century, but wait there’s more.

Fulfilling a lifetime dream of our beloved Aaron Paul, he too has now been cast in Dark Tower. Per Uproxx:

The character is a 23-year-old heroin addict from New York City who joins up with Roland Deschain (Idris Elba) in the second book, The Drawing of the Three. Shortly after the wishful thinking on Twitter, Paul revealed he’d been to several meetings about the project and even spoke with producer Ron Howard, who turned out to be a Breaking Bad fan.

While it hasn’t yet been made clear if Paul will for sure be playing Dean… who else he be playing? Let’s face it . The poor guy has already been typecast as f**k.
