Had enough of J.J. Abrams this year? Tough s**t. There’s about to be so much more from him. Abrams is about to poach more of his leading lady Daisy Ridley’s free time by casting her in his next supernatural drama. Said to be an American remake of the Israeli movie Kol Ma–translated to All I’ve Got—Variety describes the film’s plot as:
centered on a man who died in a car accident 50 years ago who waits on the other side for his former girlfriend who survived. When the woman dies, she’s given the choice of returning to the day of the accident to live again or being reunited with her love.
While nothing is official yet and things are bound to change at this stage in production, Paramount will be calling the film Kolma with Marielle Heller (The Diary of A Teenage Girl) in the director’s chair and a script by Megan Holley. Abrams will produce along with Ram Bergman, Sherryl Clark and David Lonner.
