Are Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani Paying Strangers On Instagram To Advertise Their Relationship?

Sources, and by that I mean the strangers making weirdly similar Instagram posts promoting Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s relationship, seem to say yes.

I’ve heard of stars doing weird, transparent s**t for money and being really annoying about their relationships, but this is just dumb.

From NYMag:

Gwen and Blake released a duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” at the beginning of May, and they performed it, while staring deep into each other’s eyes, at the Billboard Music Awards last night.

They also performed the song at Blake’s album release party earlier this month, which I only know because I saw some curious posts about it on Instagram yesterday.

Becca Tilley, a popular two-time Bachelor contestant who regularly posts ads for dating apps and teatoxes on Instagram, posted the following:

I don’t know why this stranger to Gwen and Blake would suddenly be blatantly promoting their s**t to all 741K of her followers, but then Stephanie Pratt, another reality TV and Instagram socialite with a following posted basically the same s**t a few hours later.

While this pretty shallow attempt at getting millennial clicks could have been orchestrated by anybody mentioned in the posts, it’s still hella dumb. And I am weary of this capitalist meme hell.
