‘Narcos’ Season 2 Is About to Come Back and Slay Because Pablo

Pablo Escobar has to be one of pop culture’s most infamous creatures. Even if you haven’t ever had career aspirations of becoming a kingpin, there are qualities to Señor Escobar that make him universally appealing. Who doesn’t want to have an entire country in their pocket? Who doesn’t want their biggest problem to be having too much money?

Given the right circumstances (and that only entails someone considering me qualified enough to spearhead their operation), I would jump at the opportunity to be the sole leader of the largest Latin American cartel without hesitation. But back to the matter at hand, it’s because of Escobar’s electrifying personality that series like Narcos can take off.

It came. We watched it. We loved it. We’re shaking in anticipation for more. Now we’re gearing up for the second season. Screen Crush has the gory details:

Narcos chronicles the gripping real-life stories of the infamous drug kingpins of the late 1980s and the corroborative efforts of law enforcement to meet them head on in brutal, bloody conflict. Its gritty storytelling details the many, often-conflicting forces – legal, political, police, military and civilian – that clash in the effort to control cocaine, one of the world’s most valuable commodities.

It could be about him playing a game of soccer with his family all season and I’d be about it. If it’s Pablo, I’m interested. I expect the same of you.

Catch the premiere on September 2.
