Gun people are fucking terrifying. Especially if you’re a wonderful British person untouched by the indoctrination of American gun love. And we have American gun love to blame for the void where Daisy Ridley’s Instagram feed used to lie.
Talking about gun violence is very in right now so it’s no wonder that celebrities feel a compulsion to use their voice for goodness. While at last weekend’s Teen Choice Awards, the Star Wars: The Force Awakens actress found herself moved enough to take to social media. She posted to Instagram:
I sat in the audience yesterday tears were streaming down my face at the tribute to those that have been lost to gun violence. I didn’t get a great picture of the incredible group that came on stage but they were so brave. It was a true moment of togetherness. We must #stoptheviolence.
And then she got harassed in the comments section. She lost fans. Her life was threatened (I didn’t read the comments but this is common practice for the internet). And then her page vanished into thin air. Guns and their people ruin everything!
