The line of the year came straight for Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo. What was it? You could make a case for every single line on that masterpiece, but I’m gonna say it had to have been:
You ain’t never seen nothing crazier than this n**** when he off his Lexapro.
And in one song with a title reminiscent of everything that got us through 2008, we got it. And now Amanda Seyfried is joining the conversation on mental illness and in admitting that she takes Lexapro, she says:
I’ll never get off of it.
Seyfried, who suffers from OCD, mentioned more than once a worry about her guest house burning down because of the oven inside in her Allure interview this month.
I’m on the lowest dose. I don’t see the point of getting off of it. Whether it’s placebo or not, I don’t want to risk it. And what are you fighting against? Just the stigma of using a tool?
Adding later in the interview:
If you can treat it, you treat it.
Because mental health is a one-size-fits-all-thing, ya? All meds work for everyone?
