We don’t know much, but we do know that Val Kilmer has been lying for over a year about having cancer. We were all very worried this time last year, but we were reluctantly reassured via Kilmer’s Facebook page that all rumors pointing to the star’s ailing health were otherwise totally untrue. But after Kilmer’s The Ghost in the Darkness co-star Michael Douglas appeared at a London Q&A this weekend, the cat is officially out of the bag:
Val was a wonderful guy who is dealing with exactly what I had, and things don’t look too good for him.
Douglas, who is himself a survivor of cancer and lying to the press, adds some solemn news to the announcement:
My prayers are with him. That’s why you haven’t heard too much from Val lately.
But it doesn’t look too good. Maybe if we only watch Top Gun until future notice we can sway the universe’s plan.
