‘La La Land’ Could’ve Been White in a Different Way, Almost Starred Emma Watson and Miles Teller

La La Land almost was a follow-up to Whiplash and Harry Potter.

Well, not exactly, but it almost starred Miles Teller and Emma Watson.

La La Land took over six years to get made and during that time, the casting changed quite a lot. At one point, Watson and Teller were cast as the leads. But, because the film kept getting delayed or nearly canceled, they didn’t work out.

It’s hard to say if Teller and Watson are upset that they missed out of the record-setting Golden Globe winning movie. But Emma is probably fine playing the lead in a huge Disney musical and Miles always has Divergent and if Hollywood gets really desperate a Fantastic Four sequel.
