Hilary Duff Attracts Old Guys

Back when I was younger, I used to love Hilary Duff. Lizzie McGuire, man. On that show, Hilary had an inner voice that spoke to her. Almost like a journal come to life. It turns out, Hilary is a lot more like Lizzie than we thought.

Recently, she’s taken up making a daily gratitude list. A smart move, and something anyone who wants to have a more positive outlook on life should do. Not me, I’m as pessimistic as they come.

In a recent interview, Hilary spoke to Redbook about the challenges of being single and being a single parent.

On dealing with mom guilt: “I always feel torn or guilty about something. I’m not working right now, and at first I stressed about that, like, “Oh, I shouldn’t stay still this long.” And that’s ridiculous. I have a child; it’s totally fine to not be slammed all the time. It feels really good to not be on someone else’s schedule — besides Luca’s. I’m basically his chauffeur!”

On the dating scene: “I never think being single sucks until I go out in L.A. with my girlfriends and the options are terrible. I really attract the old men!”

If she’s looking for someone younger, I know a guy currently behind the keyboard typing this. I think my girlfriend will give me a pass.
