Jennifer Lawrence is 26. Darren Aronofsky is 48. But who cares when you’re in love? According to PEOPLE:
“Jennifer is comfortable with an older guy because she is mature and focused.”
I feel like every young successful person in Hollywood goes through that “dating someone way older” phase before they realize that their partner will be 50 before they turn 30. Then they decide that age does matter, and they don’t want to be changing partner diapers when they’re 50 and looking for one last run at glory. PEOPLE’s source continues:
“Jen is a serious actress and being around another person in the business who is intense about what he does has been good for her…I don’t know how far it will go but as of now they are a really good match, two talented people who love their work and are respected for it.”
Two intense people who love their work? Yup, that will definitely last. Throw in the fact that Aronofsky has a 10-year-old son, and I don’t care if Lawrence just filmed a movie called Mother! (coincidentally, directed by Aronofsky), I definitely have my doubts.
But, I root for love. And I root for JLaw. So, I’m rooting for this relationship.
