Mischa Barton: ‘Sex Tape Filmed Without My Consent’

Yesterday, news came out that a potential Mischa Barton sex tape could soon hit the market.

Today, Mischa commented on the tape during a press conference with her attorney.

Barton told the media, “I’ve been put through an incredibly hard and trying time. This is a painful situation, and my absolute worst fear was realized when I learned that someone I thought I loved and trusted was filming my most intimate and private moments, without my consent with hidden cameras.”

“And then I learned something even worse — that somebody is trying to sell these videos and make them public.”

So this wasn’t a fun sex tape that I assume everyone has, it was a voyeur tape. Maybe. We’ll have to see the camera work if the tape comes out to know who is telling the truth. But, I’ll believe Mischa.

Mischa’s attorney Lisa Bloom added:

“It has been reported that naked or sexually explicit images of Ms. Barton are being ‘shopped around.’ Ms. Barton does not consent to any disclosure of any such images. She believes that she was recorded without her consent by someone she was seeing at the time,” Bloom said. “There’s a name for this disgusting conduct: Revenge pornography. Revenge pornography is a form of sexual assault, and it is also a crime and a civil wrong in California. And we will not stand for it.”

Sounds like this guy is going to have a lawsuit on his hands, so I guess it’s good that he’ll have at least $500,000 to fight it? I hope he loses all that money and goes into debt paying off Mischa.

Where is Rachel Bilson to comfort Mischa during this time?
