Tom Cruise Has Been Training for a ‘Mission: Impossible 6’ Stunt for Over a Year

If the Mission Impossible franchise is about anything, it’s basically about how much we all want to watch Tom Cruise almost die.

Seriously. Remember him hanging from the tallest building on earth in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol? In every film Tom Cruise gets closer and closer to death, and it’s looking like Mission: Impossible 6 is no exception. Writer and director Christopher McQuarrie will probably finally kill Tom Cruise.

A producer for the film recently told Collider:

“What Tom is doing in this movie I believe will top anything that’s come before. It is absolutely unbelievable—he’s been training for a year. It is going to be, I believe, the most impressive and unbelievable thing that Tom Cruise has done in a movie, and he has been working on it since right after Rogue Nation came out. It’s gonna be mind-blowing.”

Holy s**t.

And why does Tom Cruise put himself through all this torture? Is it some bizarre penance to Lord Xenu?

No, it’s for you.

“It all comes from the best place. It is all about entertaining an audience. Tom’s entire mantra for hanging on the side of the Burj Khalifa or the A380 or literally holding your breath for six minutes underwater to do the Taurus sequence is, in a world of massive [visual] effects, he said the audience can tell when it’s you on a green screen or when you’re actually doing it live.”

Thanks for looking out for us, buddy.

FakeNews.
Navy Seals don’t take a year to train for a mission, let alone one stunt.
