Miley Cyrus Has Gotten Lame Since Her Twerking Days

Who could forget Miley Cyrus twerking on stage at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards?

Despite changing her image to more Hannah Montana and less Miss Cyrus If Ya Nasty, Miley will likely never live down that moment. But, it wasn’t her fault, you guys.

Here’s what she told Harper’s Bazaar in a new interview:

“It became something that was expected of me. I didn’t want to show up to photo shoots and be the girl who would get my [breasts] out and stick out my tongue. In the beginning, it was kind of like saying, ‘[Screw] you. Girls should be able to have this freedom or whatever.’ But it got to a point where I did feel sexualised.”

Alright, so Miley has gotten lame and boring. But you know what, I’m on #TeamMiley. Sure, she was 20 and had a history of taking/posting racy pictures. But who doesn’t when they are 20? This is all the fault of Disney, who churns out sex symbols like a printing press. This is on you, Mouse. And partially the fault of Billy Ray for “Achy Breaky Heart.” Any girl in their right mind would have tried to distance herself from that immediately.

Miley, now 24, also dropped this bit of knowledge.

“I think I’m just figuring out who I am at such a rapid pace that it’s hard for me to keep up with myself,” she says. “People get told that it’s a bad thing to change. Like, people will say, ‘You’ve changed.’ And that’s supposed to be derogatory. But you are supposed to change all the time.”

You tell em, Miley!

But could you stop making bad country songs and start making awesome music like “Wrecking Ball” again? That’s really all I want from you.
