Kylie Jenner’s Lips Are Worth More Than Beyonce’s Entire Body

Beyonce may have best-selling albums, sold out world tours, her own fashion line, and endorsement deals with billion dollar companies.

But that aint s**t compared to some lip fillers (which she decided to take out).

According to Forbes, Kylie Jenner is worth $900 million, putting her 27th on their “Self-Made Women” list. Beyonce came in at No. 53.

Dictionary.com disputes their use of the word “Self-Made” but let’s not argue semantics.

What Jenner has done is nothing short of impressive. She’s made nearly a billion dollars by tricking people into thinking they need bigger lips. And she pockets all the money by having only 12 total employees and outsourcing everything.

That and a large dose of tastemaking are pretty much her entire business, an invention of the Instagram age. Hewlett and Packard immortalized the garage–Jenner has her (or her mom’s) kitchen table. Her near-billion-dollar empire consists of just seven full-time and five part-time employees. Manufacturing and packaging? Outsourced to Seed Beauty, a private-label producer in nearby Oxnard, California. Sales and fulfillment? Outsourced to the online outlet Shopify. Finance and PR? Her shrewd mother, Kris, handles the actual business stuff, in exchange for the 10% management cut she takes from all her children. As ultralight startups go, Jenner’s operation is essentially air. And because of those minuscule overhead and marketing costs, the profits are outsize and go right into Jenner’s pocket.

You really have to respect the hustle. Beyonce is out there busting her ass, dealing with faulty stages and old man Jay-Z, and she doesn’t make half as much as Kylie, who just sits there and posts some Instagram videos.

Let this be a lesson, kids. Don’t work harder. Work Kardashian.
