Kim Kardashian Defends Her Ass, Says It Didn’t Sully Marilyn Monroe’s Memory

This is still in the news? Kim Kardashian showed up on the Today show and claims she didn’t ruin Marilyn Monroe’s dress. She says Ripley’s handlers had gloves on and she only wore the damn thing thee or four minutes anyway. Lots of babies were made in only 3-4 minutes, so time doesn’t matter.

If you remember, Kardashian wore the famous Monroe dress to the Met Gala 2022. It’s the dress Monroe wore in 1962 when she sang “Happy Birthday” to then-president John F. Kennedy at Madison Square Garden.

Kardashian donned it again for the 50th anniversary of the dress. Kardashian told Today: 

I respect [Monroe], I understand how much this dress means to American history. And with the theme [of the Met Gala] being American, I thought, ‘What’s more American than Marilyn Monroe singing happy to the President of the United States?’

Riiight, what’s more American than Marilyn Monroe singing happy birthday to the President of the United States? And what’s more celebratory than having a publicity whore wear it for its anniversary.

Even though Kardashian lost 20 pounds to fit into the dress, the ass that broke the internet still would not cooperate.

Ripley’s, though, said Kardashian didn’t’ do a thing to it. A user on TikTok posted a video showing the rhinestones were already missing from the dress.

Kardashian defended herself to host Hoda Kotb on Today on Tuesday. She said all the Ripley’s handlers were extra careful, plus that dress wasn’t even on her that long.

It was such a process. I showed up to the red carpet in a robe and slippers, and I put the dress on on the bottom of the carpet, went up the stairs … I probably had it on for 3 minutes, 4 minutes.

Whatever, who cares. Sew some replica rhinestones back on. I just find it funny that Kim Kardashian will now be mentioned in the same sentence as Marilyn Monroe.
