The Blemish » Exclusives Better than a slap to the face Tue, 18 Nov 2014 20:27:44 +0000 en-US hourly 1 Karina Smirnoff Celebrates Her 35th Birthday Wed, 09 Jan 2013 00:18:12 +0000 Karina Smirnoff, of Dancing With the Stars fame, celebrated her 35th birthday at Bowlmor Lanes in Orange County. Karina and friends, such as Maria Menounos, laughed, bowled, cried, fell down and touched balls even though you’re never supposed to go ball to ball. Karina even signed a bowling pin. No word on where the guy got the pin but let’s just say he must have had a “slippery” time finding it. Get it? Slippery? Because I’m assuming he stole it from the bowling lane? Hello? Is this thing on?

Muay Thai in America Was on Saturday Mon, 03 Dec 2012 09:00:54 +0000 If you know me, you know the only sport I love more than MMA is Muay Thai so when I got an invitation to attend Muay Thai in America: In Honor of the King, I of course said yes. This event at the Raleigh Studio in Playa Vista was a celebration for the King of Thailand’s 85th birthday. Fighters like Simon Marcus, Sadibou Sy, Amanda Kelly, Julie Kitchen, Christophe Pruvost and Chike Lindsay all punched, kicked, kneed and elbowed each other in honor of the king. Being the king sounds like a pretty sweet gig. The fact that Doug Hutchison and Courtney Stodden showed up like they were attending an old school movie premiere was just icing on the cake. Thanks to Jim at Media Giants for the invite. Anyway, a few people who showed up included Melissa Mishele, Brian Ronalds, Fiona Bates, that one girl from last season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and a few others.

And of course there were actual fights that went on. Blood was drawn in the fourth round of the very first fight. You can’t tell by the pictures, but the guy who was bleeding won. Who says leg kicks don’t finish fights? A good rundown of the fights here if you’re interested.

Fabolous Celebrated His Birthday on Sunday Wed, 28 Nov 2012 08:28:32 +0000 Last Sunday, Fabolous celebrated his birthday at Greystone Manor in Hollywood. In attendance were The Game, Lamar Odom, Kevin Phillips and Deray Davis. Also in attendance was a train of tequila with sparklers in them. It kind of reminded me of that one Simpsons episode where Homer was in hell and they put his mouth up to a conveyor belt of donuts and forced him to eat each one as a sisyphean punishment but he just kept eating and eating until they ran out of donuts. I’d like to think either Fabolous or some guy was at the end of that tequila train just sitting there pointing to his open mouth.

Anyway, here’s some exclusive photos from the event and a couple of videos. The first video is of the El Cartel Tequila train the second one is of Fabolous performing. Why is the camera sideways? Because it’s more gangsta when you hold it that way, obviously.

The Blemish Presents the Mr. Pink Event Mon, 15 Oct 2012 23:35:59 +0000 Last Thursday The Blemish hit up the launch of Mr. Pink Ginseng Drink at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel with our guest Metta World Peace. In attendance were those dang Jacksons and Jackson kids including Paris.

This was one of Paris Jackson’s first forays into the Hollywood spotlight and brought her one step closer to her dream of becoming — brace yourself — an actress. She recently told Oprah,  “I just love it, and I think that it’s amazing. You can be a totally different person on camera. It’s fun. You can take on another character.”

Aw, so innocent. You can practically smell the foam forming around Hollywood’s mouth waiting for its chance to churn another girl out like they did Lindsay, Britney, Christina and others.

The Walking Dead 100th Issue Black Carpet Was Friday Sun, 15 Jul 2012 22:54:09 +0000 Hyundai threw/sponsored/powered a black carpet event for the 100th issue of The Walking Dead which was great for me because I managed to get in to cover it so standing 5.5 hrs in a record breaking line and missing The Walking Dead panel didn’t seem like a total waste of a Friday. I heard the panel wasn’t that great anyway. At least that’s what I tell myself.

Anyway, celebrities showed up whenever to walk the black carpet and go have a few drinks. These included Guillermo Diaz (Weeds), Seth Green and his wife Claire Grant, Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, a girl that used to date Seth Green after he first broke up with Claire Grant, Terry Etim doing the old look at my shoes, kick you in the nuts trick, Chad Michael Murry and his Kate Bosworth-looking date, Lauren Cohan, Steven Yeun, Robb Corddry and the dudes from The Hunger Games.

Right after Sarah Callies (Lori Grimes on Wakling Dead) left, I had a fantastic idea to have her shout, “Carl, stay in the house!” at my camera. Missed it by that much.

Here are a few takeaways from the black carpet:

  • Andrew Lincoln seems cool. He was around for what seemed like an hour giving interviews to whoever wanted one. Actually, most of the cast did that but he was the only one who left without even going inside.
  • Sarah Callies and Lauren Cohan are much taller in person than they seem on the show.
  • Lauren Cohan has a British accent even though she was born in Philly.
  • Don’t expect everyone to come on time. Naturally.
•’s Simone Boyce is really tall.
  • Never cover a red carpet without at least downing two drinks.

The event itself was pretty cool… from what I heard. I didn’t actually get to go in because I would have infected them with my normal people diseases but I hear they were serving fried squirrels.

Also, I know I suck at taking pictures. That was already proven at the panels.
