Hayden Panettiere’s dad whose name is Alan Lee Panettiere, but will forever be known only as Hayden Panettiere’s dad, was sentenced to two years probation, fined $400 and ordered to attend domestic violence counseling after pleading no contest to battery.

Hayden Panettiere’s dad was arrested for slapping his wife in the face three times because he thought she was “disrespecting’” him at a party back in August. Hayden said the incident was blown out of proportion and that the sheriff only wanted his 15 minutes of fame. I know, right? He didn’t even use his backhand.

In addition to a fine, probation and counseling, the judge also issued a protective order requiring Hayden Panettiere’s dad to not “harass, strike or threaten” his wife. An order that will be extremely difficult to follow because, did you see what she did to his eggs this morning?!

Hayden Panettiere’s dad, Alan, was arrested for spousal abuse back in August for hitting his wife, Leslie, because she “disrespected’ him. Both Alan and Hayden said the incident was blown out of proportion and nothing happened. However, prosecutors don’t agree and will charge Alan with misdemeanor battery. He faces up to a year in jail if convicted.

At the time, a sheriff’s spokesman said Panettiere was accused of hitting his wife three times with an open hand. The 49-year-old was later released on $50,000 bail after the arrest. His arraignment will be held in October at a Beverly Hills courthouse.

In Alan’s defense, he was only trying to keep his pimp hand strong.

Hayden Panttiere’s dad, Alan, was arrested Monday morning for allegedly “battering his wife,” Lesley Panettiere. TMZ says he hit her in the face at 3 AM. It’s unclear why Alan and his wife were even up at 3 AM in the morning. He was either sleep abusing-his-wife or they were out partying and Lesley “disrespected” him. Oh hey, looks like it’s the second scenario.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Alan and Lesley Panettiere were at a party earlier in the evening. We’re told Alan was upset because Lesley was “hanging” with someone at the shindig and he felt she was “disrespecting” him.

Sources say, according to Lesley’s statement to Sheriffs, the couple went home, began arguing and he struck her in the cheek. We’re told cops took pictures and there are visible marks.

People should stop using the phrase “battering his wife.” It makes it sound more delicious than it really is.
