53-year-old Alec Baldwin is now engaged to Hilaria Thomas, his 28-year-old yoga instructor, who he began dating last summer.

“Yes, it’s true! Alec proposed to Hilaria this weekend and we’re all excited for the newly engaged couple,” the rep says. “Alec’s birthday is tomorrow – great way to celebrate!” PEOPLE

Daww, isn’t it always heartwarming when you see two crazy kids without ulterior motives find love in Hollywood? I’m sure his money had absolutely nothing to do with this. I mean, Alec has a fantastic personality.

Alec Baldwin was kicked off American Airlines last week after he became agitated when a flight attendant made him shut off his cell phone. Baldwin said he was merely playing Words With Friends while the plane was stopped at the gate. Meanwhile, passengers and the flight attendant say Alec threw a hissy fit and slammed the lavatory door so loudly that the captain of the plane went to see what was going on.

Well, entitled actor Alec Baldwin wanted an apology so he guest starred on SNL and gave one himself. To himself.

I’m not sure that’s how apologies work.

Another day, another celebrity being kicked off an airplane. This time it was Alec Baldwin and American Airlines. In a tweet, Alec alleges he was reamed for playing Words With Friends on his phone while the plane was still at the gate and then he was booted.

However, according to people on the plane, Alec was thrown off because he threw a hissy fit when flight attendants told him to shut off his phone in the middle of a Words With Friends game.

But according to passengers … after the confrontation over his phone, Alec got up to go to the bathroom and angrily slammed the lavatory door. We’re told it was so loud the captain called back to flight attendants to find out what was happening.

That’s when the captain himself made the call to have Baldwin removed. TMZ

After de-boarding, Alec stomped around the terminal and kicked a little girl’s stuffed animal in frustration. It wasn’t until he went to the bathroom to get the sand out of his vagina that he calmed down.

Alec Baldwin, to play a fictional president of television, bowed out of the opening video for the Emmys last night when Fox cut a joke he made about Rupert Murdoch’s phone-hacking scandal.

Alec tweeted, “Fox did kill my NewsCorp hacking joke. Which sucks bc I think it would have made them look better. A little.”

A source close to Baldwin said the issue wasn’t the fact they cut the line but that it was done after he taped what he thought was a “cohesive bit” and that the editing would affect the pace and flow of the skit. Consequently, Leonard Nimoy replaced Alec and re-did the skit without the joke.

Baldwin added, “If I were enmeshed in a scandal where I hacked photos of families of innocent crime victims purely 4 profit, I’d want that 2 go away, 2.”

Fox claimed the joke was cut because they take the hacking allegations very seriously and didn’t want to look like they were making light of the situation.

Probably also because widdle Rupert Murdoch went “wah wah, tell that mean man to stop making fun of me on my own network or else I’m taking my ball and going home.”

In shocking news, Alec Baldwin goes to the gym. And actually works out. In non-shocking news, he likes to watch himself on TV while he does cardio.

Spies at the Equinox gym on the Upper West Side say that when the hefty star hops on the cardio machines, he flips the TV channel to his favorite show — the one he stars in. “[He] jumped onto the elliptical trainer — that is, of course, after he changed the TV to reruns of ’30 Rock’!” a witness told Us Weekly. A rep for Baldwin said, “If this even happened, he was ‘exercising’ his right to great comedy during his workout.”

Alec probably also winked, pointed at the tv and said “You handsome man, you.” In between gasps for air, of course.

Alec Baldwin, apparently angry that National Enquirer columnist Mike Walker said he screamed at Tina Fey on the set of 30 Rock, lashed out at him in the Times of London calling Walker a “whore” and a “queen”. From Page Six:

Baldwin, who says he never screamed at Fey, doesn’t seem to be afraid of a gay backlash. He told us yesterday, “Yes, he [Walker] is a goat-footed, wheezy, old queen, and all my male lovers agree with me.” Walker states, “Just for the record: I am not gay, as my wife will attest. Whenever gossip columnists make up stories about me, I get frustrated too. For example, one time a guy falsely accused me of being violent. So I stabbed him.

Alec Baldwin was released from the hospital yesterday when he exploded on New York Post photog Tim Wiencis. Yelling, “Don’t touch me! I’m calling the cops,” Alec grabbed him by the collar when Wiencis tapped him on the shoulder. LA cops must have a direct line into the thoughts of celebs because they immediately pulled Alec off and led him back in the hospital to cool down.

A witness said Baldwin was pacing around the lobby muttering: “They are the lowest scum of the Earth. They are the lowest scum of the Earth.”

Well, that’s sort of dramatic. Almost as dramatic telling your 14-year-old daughter that “I’m tired of this. I’m going to take some pills. I’m going to end this,” and then taking an Ambien and falling asleep. Cry more, Alec. The similarities between him and a distraught housewife are amazing. Right down to the love of ice cream straight from the carton.

Friends of Baldwin think his ex Kim Basinger is behind all this as reporters knew the exact time Alec was released from the hospital and when he got off work. Asked for comment, Basinger said, “Muahhaa. Muahahhaha.”

Alec Baldwin is doing fine after being rushed to a New York City hospital early Thursday morning. WNBC News reported 51-year-old Alec Baldwin was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital after his rude, thoughtless little pig of a daughter called 911 at around midnight. Daughter Ireland said Alec was “unresponsive”. Ireland told police that they were arguing and Alec threatened to take pills like some sort of distressed housewife.

Reps for Alec denied these reports calling it a misunderstanding. “This was a misunderstanding on one person’s part. Alec was quickly released from the hospital; he’s completely fine and will be at work today,” the 51-year-old actor’s spokesman, Matthew Hiltzik, said in a statement.

Maybe Alec grew tired of being barefoot in the kitchen making Ireland her sandwiches. Make your own goddamn sandwiches, kid.

Alec Baldwin tells Men’s Journal that he will quit acting by 2012 and maybe go into politics. If you think actors going into politics is an absurd idea, that’s because it is.

The big reason for the decision is that Baldwin considers his entire film career a complete failure. “The goal of movie-making is to star in a film where your performance drives the film, and the film is either a soaring critical or commercial success, and I never had that. And now, the movies I’ve been in, I never give them a moment’s thought. Every movie I’ve ever been in, I just avoid,” he said.

I was going to comfort Alec, but then I thought about it for a while and discovered he’s right. The only thing I remember him in was 30 Rock and that’s because the article reminded me. The article also said he was in Hunt for Red October, but I thought, no, wasn’t that with Sean Connery, Sam Neil and John McTiernan Sr. who played Adviser #2? Then I went on IMDB and looked at the cast and went “Ohhhhhh.”

Alec Baldwin recently criticized Hollywood actresses for being so skinny. I assume he’s just pissed that it really magnifies his fatassness by comparison. Alec went as far as to say he would never physically be able to shoot sex scenes with actresses such as Renee Zellweger because he would end up crushing them. Once again. With his fatassness. Alec joked, “Women today are so skinny. If I did a love scene with them, I would crush them. If I did a love scene with Renee, I would kill her!”

I’m sure Renee and the others will be heartbroken that they’ll never get to make fake love with Alec Baldwin. I know I would be too if I was one of said skinny actresses. To have that man lying on top of you breathing heavily and squirming around trying to position himself sounds like a dream come true. Alas, it’ll never happen. Why would he deprive women of such romance? What a jerk.

In possibly a manufactured feud to promote 30 Rock, Star magazine reports on the rising tension between Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey which exploded recently at a photo shoot. Word is that Tina is figuring out she’s not disposable and has been second guessing Alec.

During a recent photo shoot on the set, the notoriously difficult actor sniped to the photographer, “Get ready to do a lot of airbrushing.” Tina, who has a childhood scar on her left cheek, fired back, “Something wrong with my face?” Alec upped the ante by saying it’s her entire body that’s the problem. “Tina shot back that this was coming from a guy with a double chin who thinks Sarah Palin is hot,” says a set source. “Alec was steamed about it the rest of the day and had words with Tina about it later.”

Sounds fake, but it could have also been good natured jesting. I insult my friends all the time. Call them fat, worthless, should have been aborted, not worth the paper their birth certificate was printed on, etc. They always chuckle and that’s about when they tell me they joined the Peace Corps for a year but then two months later I see them at a random bar… Weird. Must have got out early.

Alec Baldwin is out promoting his divorce memoir, A Promise to Ourselves, and turned bitchy when Diane Sawyer had to reschedule four times because of her husbands heart surgery.

“Diane’s people couldn’t believe how angry Baldwin got,” says a source. “She was running back from the hospital!” A friend of Baldwin says, “The interview was rescheduled at least four times. Then the air conditioning wasn’t working. Alec was a little annoyed, but not with Diane.” Sawyer’s rep says: “Alec couldn’t have been more gracious or considerate to her.” All’s well that ends well: Baldwin and Sawyer got on so famously, they’ll do a second interview before the story airs on “20/20.”

To be fair, Diane Sawyer is a rude, thoughtless little pig. It’s not like she’s performing the surgery herself. You better believe that when the cameras turned off, Alec straightened her ass out, that rotten pig.

Alec Baldwin wants Hilary Clinton to fight obesity by voting “No” on a $10 billion farm bill that will provide subsidies “to farmers who provide cheese, sugar and other fattening foods to schools.” Alec Baldwin, who’s been ingesting some high fructose corn syrup himself, says

“As you are well aware, the epidemic of childhood obesity is worsening day by day, leading to higher risks of diabetes, heart disease and several forms of cancer,” the actor wrote Monday in a personal letter to Clinton and each of her fellow senators. “I know that you share my concern about this crucial issue.”

“As a parent,” Baldwin continued, “I see firsthand the challenges of keeping children focused on healthful foods. These challenges are made all the more difficult by federal policies that keep high-cholesterol, high-sugar foods all too plentiful in schools. …

“There has never been a more urgent time to take action.”

When Hilary didn’t return his calls, Alec threatened to “straighten her ass out” and to further illustrate his point, he called Hilary a “rotten little pig,” a “rude, thoughtless little pig.” Alec is tired of playing this game and feels that Hilary insulted him for the last time and that she doesn’t have the brains or the decency… Whoa, Alec. You’re not going to get through to Hilary like that. Women understand better when you explain your argument through song and dance.
