Amanda Bynes continued her downward spiral last Friday by hitting a car and driving off obliviously. Luckily for her, it wasn’t a cop car this time.

Police say a man was driving near the intersection of Crescent Heights and Melrose Blvd when he was sideswiped by a Range Rover trying to pass him on the right. When the SUV kept going, he followed it in traffic. Cops responded and even sent out a helicopter to track the Range Rover.

Cops finally found the SUV and discovered the driver was Amanda Bynes who had no idea she hit another car. Sources say the damage to her vehicle was so minimal that she probably didn’t feel the accident at all.

Information was eventually exchanged, no citation was given and police won’t investigate further. Though, for her sake, they should do something. Like, take her by the shoulders, shake her really hard and yell, “What are you thinking?!”

After hitting a cop car, driving drunk, backing over a curb and now this, at the very least, they should have thrown her car keys into the La Brea Tar Pits.

Even though Amanda Bynes has been stumbling out of bars drunk more and more often, sideswiping a cop car and getting a DUI in the process and backing up over a curb while texting, giving off the impression she’s in a downward spiral doesn’t mean she deserves comparisons to Lindsay Lohan. In fact, Amanda thinks the comparisons are downright sexist.

“Amanda thinks its extremely unfair that people are calling her the new Lindsay Lohan,” a source close to the actress tells RadarOnline.com exclusively. “Comparisons between the two are just ridiculous as Amanda has never been arrested for drug possession or for stealing anything. Yes, she got arrested for a DUI, but that doesn’t mean that she is headed down the same road as Lindsay. Amanda argues that she can’t be compared to Lindsay unless she hits the trifecta (DUI, drug possession, stealing). Who would have guessed that Lindsay would ever be known for setting such high standards.

Amanda Bynes is currently in a downward spiral and seems poised to crash and burn in a glorious spectacle. In the past few months, she was seen stumbling out of a bar drunk, getting behind the wheel drunk, sideswiping a cop car drunk resulting in a DUI and trying to go back to the same bar the day after. She’s also waved off rehab. If things weren’t bad enough, sources say Lindsay Lohan is more than willing to have a chat with Amanda.

According to one of Lindsay Lohan’s best friends, the actress would be more than happy to chat with Amanda Bynes, hoping the young actress’ recent DUI arrest and resulting intense media scrutiny won’t mirror LiLo’s own troubled years — which now, happily, appear to behind her.

Last night, Amanda Bynes went back to Greystone Manor. The same place she drove off wasted from back in March. Yesterday, Amanda hit up Chateau Marmont and Greystone and while texting behind the wheel, backed her BMW over a curb.

Either this is a cry for help and she wants to get caught or she’s literally retarded. Maybe it’s some form of Asperger syndrome.

While Rick Bynes may be plugging his ears and going “lalala” while watching these videos of Amanda Bynes leaving two bars drunk off her ass and even getting behind the wheel in one of them, the only thing that surprised everyone else is that in the first video she was being carried home by two chicks instead of two black dudes. According to Amanda Bynes’ dad, Rick Bynes, his daughter is not a drunken mess who routinely crashes into police cruisers because she doesn’t even drink. Rick tells PEOPLE, “I was told that she blew a zero on the Breathalyzer. She didn’t have a single drink that night. My daughter doesn’t drink.” Cue the sad eye rolls.

Rick says the cop she sideswiped was at fault as he pulled out in front of her while she was turning at the West Hollywood intersection. He says Amanda wasn’t impaired and was only arrested because “she was upset and very emotional.” Sort of like how a drunk person gets when they drive into a cop car.

He then went on to defend her career or lack thereof. “She is a good girl. She just chooses not to work, and because of that, people go after her.” That’s right. Amanda CHOOSES not to land acting gigs and it isn’t because she’s difficult to work with. Rick probably still thinks his daughter is a virgin.

To further illustrate how depressing Amanda’s life has become, hours after she was released from jail, she tried to go back to the same bar at The Standard Hotel where she had partied the previous night before she was popped for DUI. This time, staff rejected her not wanting to be associated with Amanda in case she got caught again.

Usually when I get arrested, I just sit at home chanting, “I can’t go back there, man” for a month before I end up getting wasted again and caught drunkenly desecrating a grave. What a mean to say is, this chick has balls and doesn’t afraid of anything.

At around 3 AM this morning, Amanda Bynes (who rather be banging black dudes) was arrested for DUI after trying to pass a cop car in her black BMW. Keyword: trying. If you haven’t figured it out by now, she didn’t make it.

Amanda ended up sideswiping the rear panel of the police cruiser. She was pulled over and determined unfit to be behind the wheel. She’s since ponied up the $5,000 bail and has been released from jail in West Hollywood.

Sideswiping a cop has to be the dumbest way for a drunk driver to get popped. Like most drunk people, it was probably going well for about 5 seconds until her foot slammed on the gas for no reason at all.

This isn’t the first time Amanda drove drunk. Last month on St. Patrick’s Day, TMZ’s camermen urged the valet to not hand over the keys to Amanda, but they did anyway.

A week before that, Amanda drove off while a cop was writing her a ticket for talking on a cell phone. She later went to the police station to sign the ticket. Probably after she sobered up.

Hey, Amanda Bynes, why so sad? Did your dog die or something? Oh, it did. My bad.

Amanda Bynes went on Twitter yesterday asking for help in finding her 4-month old teacup Pomeranian which somehow got out of her house. “Everyone: I have the worst news to tell you….little angel got out of my house somehow and is LOST. If anyone finds her I BEG you to please contact me thru twitter, I will give a reward. She means the WORLD to me & I can’t find her anywhere.”

Today’s news wasn’t so good as she tweeted an update: “Sad day….Little Angel is in heaven now. RIP I love you.”

On the bright side, she won’t have to remember to feed it every day, won’t have to clean up its poop, won’t have to train it not to pee in her shoes… This might be a blessing, actually.

Amanda Bynes quit Twitter a little while ago and threatened to quit acting but now she’s back with tweets like “”Like attracts like. Whatever energy we put out into the world is precisely the energy we get back.”

She’s also posting pictures of herself in a bikini so, yes, I CAN look past those quotes that she thought were deep and profound because “fun with wigs” makes up for them.

A month ago, Amanda Bynes, 24, retired from acting saying that she no longer loved the art and that she would rather be having sex with black dudes. Soon after, a report came out saying that Amanda was pretty much forced into retirement because she became difficult to work with, flaky and began acting weird on set.

As you probably already guessed, the retirement didn’t last very long. In a new tweet posted July 23, Bynes declares “i’ve unretired,” and follows it up with a link to the trailer for her upcoming movie, Easy A, “easy A. September 17th. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DL7W6pEuAW0 check it out :)”. I suppose that means this movie isn’t going straight to DVD and that she’s getting new offers. Good for her. Hollywood always needs more mediocre supporting actors with a small following.

The Daily Beast has an interesting read on Amanda Bynes’ “retirement” from acting. They say that it wasn’t so much a retirement as it was her not being able to land roles because of her increasingly erratic behavior and her inability to produce a hit movie.

Amanda was recently fired from the Farrelley brothers’ film Hall Pass. Sources claim she was beginning to act paranoid and fearful. Owen Wilson and the Farrellys wanted her to stay but only if she could get her act together. She didn’t and they let her go. They also kept the camera rolling to show Bynes’ “odd behavior” in case her people decided to sue. Bynes tweeted that she left due to scheduling conflicts. Also, there’s this:

Meanwhile, rumors began to surface that Bynes could be “difficult.” In 2007, she was invited to the Turks and Caicos Film Festival, where she was being honored with a rising star award. And things reportedly didn’t go well.

Shortly after the festival was done, a nasty item appeared on the New York Post’s Page Six alleging that for the event, Bynes demanded two first-class plane tickets, two double hotel suites, and then “failed” to show up at any of the scheduled events she’d committed to. “I literally didn’t see her for days after she arrived at the hotel,” an “organizer” told the gossip column. “Everyone was wondering where she was. She was off jet-skiing, treating it like a vacation.”

They say if Amanda’s last film, Easy A, is a success, studios will want her back thereby putting an end to her retirement. If not, then Amanda will be in Ibiza banging random black dudes. She’ll be livin’ the dream. Kim Kardashian’s dream, I mean.

We’ve lost a lot of great actors in recent months. Patrick Swayze, Dennis Hopper and now Amanda Bynes who’ll no longer bless us with Oscar caliber films like She’s the Man because she retired from acting at the ripe old age of 24.

In a series of tweets over the weekend, Bynes said she didn’t find acting fun anymore and that she’s done. Professionally. Also, she still loves black dudes.

Celebrities on Twitter are turning into a bunch of talking heads being paid to advertise for whoever pays them enough. Though Kim Kardashian denies it, reports estimate Kim and other celebs earn up to $10,000 for each tweet. You’ll probably find out for sure in coming months due to new regulations that require people to say whether they’re being given cash incentives to do a blog post or social media post.

With all this behind the scenes trickery, one starts to lose faith in social media. Which is why it’s nice to see other celebs embrace the true meaning of sites like Twitter. Like Amanda Bynes did the other day. Amanda tweeted a couple photos from her Maxim shoot where she’s splayed out on a bed in her bra and panties. Looks like other celebrities can learn a lot from Amanda.
