Russell Armstrong fromThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills committed suicide in mid-August. The timing couldn’t have been better for Bravo because the second season premiere on Sept. 5 was right around the corner. Yea, they had to re-edit the premiere because he died but the upside is they’ll now get to air a special addressing his suicide. Ratings. You’re doing it right.

The network has shot a special that included several cast members of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills — Lisa Vanderpump, Camille Grammer, Kyle and Kim Richards, and Adrienne Maloof. Taylor Armstrong apparently was not included in the filming. — EW

I’m surprised his wife, Taylor Armstrong, didn’t agree to appear. I wonder if it was by choice or the choice of Bravo. I guess it looks bad if they forced a widow to shill for ratings. Strange since I always thought the execs would have these people stand on the Tijuana border selling chicles if it meant a bump in viewers.

In Lindsay Lohan’s delusional world, there’s a vast Hollywood conspiracy to destroy her image. Her latest piece of evidence to prove this is tonight’s episode of the Bravo show Double Exposure. The premise for the episode is everyone waits for Lindsay to show up for a NY photo shoot. The show is titled “Is Lindsay Here Yet?” Very poignant since the entire episode consists of people asking, “Is Lindsay here yet?”

If you want to know what happened, Lindsay eventually showed up 11 hours later. The shoot was scheduled for 10 AM so that means she showed up at 9 PM. That’s a lot of waiting. Must be an exciting episode. A source says Lindsay’s excuse was that she woke up late.

Lindsay, obviously, is mad about how the show is being promoted and how she’s being portrayed. Naturally, she went on Twitter and denied everything claiming she was set-up by Bravo. Who isn’t? Amiright?

Lindsay is two accusations away from locking herself in a room and peeing in jars like a modern day Howard Hughes. You probably can’t even say “hi” to her on the street anymore without her grabbing you by the collar and shoving you against the wall while shouting, “Who do you work for?!”

Bravo’s A-List Awards took place at the Hammerstein Ballroom Wednesday night and it sounded more like a dysfunctional family reunion than an actual awards show. The whole show was pretty much a circle jerk for D-listers.

Kathy Griffin hosted and being the “hip” and “with it” comedian that she is, told jokes about Miley Cyrus getting VD and about Mariah Carey being old. She also said some other stuff, but I’m too tired to type it so I’ll just quote Page Six. Pay close attention to the swearing. Notice how Kathy becomes 10 times more edgy when she throws those f-bombs:

“That motherfucker George Clooney ruined it for all of us,” she yelled. “He decided to donate his Oscar bag to some bullshit environmental organization and ruined it for me.”

Griffin, currently on the cover of A Bear’s Life – a magazine dedicated to macho, “furry” gays known as “bears” – admitted she watched “Living Lohan” and is obsessed with Dina and Ali Lohan.

“I wish I could have had a manager mom out at clubs fucking guys to get me roles,” Griffin cracked. “My mom’s at home drinking a box of wine.”

There’s a magazine dedicated to hairy gay guys? You’re goddamn right there is. The pinnacle of achievement for any actor or actress is to grace the cover of A Bear’s Life and Kathy Griffin has done it. She’s made it. In the venerable words of Kathy, “FUCK YEA!!” But Kathy Griffin wasn’t the only one happy, Lauren Hutton was too. If you can’t see the video of Lauren’s acceptance speech up above after receiving a lifetime achievement award, let me or rather, let Page Six, yet again, describe it. It rivaled that of Halle Berry’s Oscar meltdown.

Actress Lauren Hutton, who accepted a lifetime achievement honor, slurred that she hadn’t slept in 46 hours, rubbed her crotch with the big silver award and mumbled “sluts” on stage.

After that, one clap turned into thunderous applause. Wow. The Bravo A-List Awards sounds like the classiest show out there. It makes the Oscars look like a used up whore. With VD!
