Constantine Maroulis was a contestant on American Idol. Besides that, there’s nothing really spectacular about him. Point being, no one cares what he’s been up to. Until today. Gatecrasher says he got his ass beat by a guy in a suit and tie who was 6 inches shorter and 60 pounds lighter than him. And when I say he got his ass beat, I mean he really got his ass beat. “The partygoer threw punches, pushed Maroulis to the ground and kicked him repeatedly before security guards stepped in.”

As to how this started. Constantine was playing Casio’s G-Shock party Wednesday night at Cipriana Wall Street when he said he’d love it if Paula Abdul returned to AI. Someone from the audience took exception, said, “oh hells no,” rushed the stage and Chris Browned Constantine.

“It was hilarious! Constantine got into it with this guy who was probably 6 inches shorter and 60 pounds lighter,” laughs an observer. “The guy body-slammed him and punched him in the face and then just stood up, straightened his tie, and said, ‘itch, don’t you ever,’ before walking away.”

The attendee adds, “Security didn’t know what to make of this guy. He was so well-groomed in his suit, and he didn’t look like a threat at all. Constantine was so overwhelmed he just sat there on the floor for a few minutes.”

Suffice to say, we need video of this hilarity. If you’re wondering what that wimp Constantine had to say about this other than calling for his mommy,

“It broke up quick, didn’t even know him. Or throw one punch. I don’t mind a fight … but only when it’s fair and I’m looking!” wrote the star, adding, “I’m fine! Some drunk dude tackled me in the middle of the concert and jumped on me.”

Only when it’s fair and he’s looking. Okay. Maybe next time the guy should take out a glove, slap him in the face and challenge him to a duel. Do you want him to bake you a cupcake afterward too? If you think about it, this guy was pretty brave to keep the beating going even after Constantine realized what was going on. Usually when I’m in a fight, I run away before the confusion wears off. We should actually give this guy a medal for his fearlessness.

You’ll know this show will kick some serious ass if you caught one of his shows between November 4 to December 28 where he performed at the Oneida Casino in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I use the word “perform” in the loosest sense possible because Constantine wasn’t singing, he was calling Bingo. Yes sir, the stars are the limit for this guy. You can catch him next singing over the PA at Walmart (maximum capacity 1,580 people!) until he gets kicked out. Suck on that Carrie Underwood.
