Turns out third time isn’t a charm. Dennis Quaid’s wife, Kimberly Buffington-Quaid, is filing for divorce. According to the docs, instead of just citing the usual “irreconcilable differences,” Kimberly says she’s filing for divorce because things have “become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities.”

Buffington-Quaid has been granted possession of the family’s main house and a Mercedes, while Quaid, 57, gets a condo and a Cadillac, according to the filing. The couple will share a Range Rover.

Last October, Quaid put his 418-acre Montana property on the market for $14 million.

In a response to his wife’s filing, Quaid has requested that she get nothing in their eventual settlement.

Dennis Quaid penned an article for Newsweek where he revealed that his greatest mistake was being addicted to cocaine. Drugs are bad? This is shocking.

Quaid wrote, ” I started after I left college and came to Los Angeles in 1974. It was very casual at first. That’s what people were doing when they were at parties … Coming from where I came from – from Houston into Hollywood – and all of a sudden this success starts happening to you, I just didn’t know how to handle that. Doing blow just contributed to me not being able to handle the fame.”

Dennis was doing so much blow that by the time he filmed The Big Easy he was getting “an hour of sleep a night” and that it started to “affect” his acting. Wait, so Quaid was on so much blow he was up 23 hours a day and it was only starting to affect his job performance? Being an actor is the greatest thing ever.

The change for him came when he “had one of those white-light experiences that night [the night of a concert with his band The Eclectics at the China Club, a Thursday maybe?] where I kind of realized I was going to be dead in five years if I didn’t change my ways.”

He fell off the wagon in 1990 after his movie Wilder Napalm flopped but he’s sober now and says the experience shaped him as a person making him the man he is today. So, listen up kids. If you want to make it in Hollywood, do lots of cocaine. It’ll make you into a big star. I think that’s what Dennis meant. I don’t know. I have a short attention span.

Dennis Quaid’s twin babies along with 13 others were mistakenly overdosed with a massive amount of anti-coagulant used to treat blood clots known as Heparin. On Sunday night, both babies began to bleed out and were transferred to the neo-natal intensive care unit where they remain in stable condition. TMZ reports,

Babies typically get 10 units. Our sources say they were each mistakenly given 10,000 units. The drug is used to flush out IV lines and prevent blood clots. We’re told one dose was given on Sunday morning, another on Sunday evening.

We’re told a technician stored the Heparin in the wrong place, and when a nurse grabbed the medicine for the babies without looking — it was the wrong dosage.

A source says the babies are now being given Protamine, which reverses the effects of Heparin.
