Emma Watson is pretty hot. Especially when she doesn’t have that damn pixie cut. Why wouldn’t you want to date her? She seems nice, interesting and has millions in the bank. She’s basically the perfect woman.

According to her ex-boyfriend though, she does have one major flaw. She’s too famous. Which is why he dumped her. *Puts hand in air, makes wrist go limp*

You dumped your hot millionaire girlfriend because you didn’t want to ride on her coattails. That’s… admirable, but also really stupid. Half of the D-listers in Hollywood just stared at that quote in shock. Tara Reid almost had a heart attack.

I’m just going to come out and say it. Emma Watson’s commercial for Lancome’s Tresor Midnight Rose sucks hard. I have a distaste for perfume ads to begin with but this one takes the cake. And this is after having seen Khloe and Lamar’s.

The fact that it’s 1 minute 46 seconds long doesn’t help either. Neither does the lack of story or the fact it was directed by a child. It was right? Because that’s the only way one can explain the end where the guy’s hat floats onto Emma Watson’s head. What is this? How did I end up in a 12-year-old girl’s Trapper Keeper?

The first thing a child actor does when transitioning into an adult actor is go for an “edgier” role. That or leak a bunch of nude self-shots she took of herself. Emma Watson will sadly be going the former route and will co-star in the “sex and drug filled coming-of-age film The Perks of Being a Wallflower” with Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev.

“The world has only seen her basically in one role—a pretty conservative, sweet, smart character, which is great,” Watson’s Wallflower costar Nina Dobrev told us earlier today while promoting her PSA for Puma’s breast cancer charity organization Project Pink. “But this one, she pushes the envelope in a different way than anyone’s ever seen her, which is really great. It’s a great role for her.”

“I think they’re going to be excited to see her in something else,” Dobrev says. “And see her spread her wings and try different things. It’s always exciting to see someone you love do something different and see a different side of them.”

And it sounds like we’ll be seeing a new side to the Vampire Diaries actress as well.

“My character is a victim of abuse,” Dobrev says. “So she’s abused, and [my brother] Charlie [played by Logan Lerman] witnesses that. That’s kind of my drama of the movie.” [E!]

How edgy will this be? Emma’s character Sam has “a Rocky Horror-inspired scene in which she dances around in a corset.” Oh, so not edgy at all, you mean? I’ve seen edgier stuff at a children’s play. If some guy doesn’t walk in on Emma Watson and Nina Dobrev and say he’s here for the gangbang, I’m throwing my hands in the air and leaving.

She’s pretty much living proof that life isn’t fair. In hopes of restoring some sanity to her schedule, she will go back to school in the fall somewhere closer to home. With that decision out of the way, Emma is currently figuring out what to do with her newfound freedom. Single since she broke up with Craig last summer, she smiles wistfully when asked whether she might have time for a relationship again. One of her favorite courses at Brown was on the psychology of love. Far from being put off the idea, she remains an incurable romantic: “I’m a feminist, but I think that romance has been taken away a bit for my generation. I think what people connect with in novels is this idea of an overpowering, encompassing love—and it being more important and special than anything and everything else.” When Emma does eventually meet the right man, she hopes they will be able to keep the relationship out of the spotlight. “I would love to not date someone in the same industry as me. Otherwise it becomes what it means to everyone else.”

Does a pasty blogger living in their parents’ basement count as someone not in the industry? If so, sign me up. Just don’t ask me to go outside. I get sunburned from just turning on the lights.

Emma Watson, 21, is single and may remain that way because men are too “intimidated” to ask her out. And when guys do talk to her, they feel the need to cut her down because they think she won’t respect them if they grovel.

And she gave them some simple advice: ‘Be brave.’ The elfin-faced Briton, who is busily promoting Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part II), the final installment in the series, told an interviewer that men rarely pursue her. ‘It must be the fame wall. It must be the circus that goes around me. ‘Me, as a person, I find it hard to believe I would be intimidating.’

She also revealed how some men feel the need to be rude or dismissive simply because she is famous and successful. ‘Sometimes, perhaps because they are intimidated, they feel they have to knock me down,’ she told the Sunday Times Style magazine. ‘They know perfectly well who I am, but say, “How are the Narnia films going?”.’

This all because she’s famous, has $33 million in the bank and is hot (at least with long hair). I don’t see how any of that is intimidating. In fact, I’d be standing outside her house right now with a bouquet of flowers if it wasn’t for this restraining order.

I’m not exactly sure why people say Happy Memorial Day when it’s a time to commemorate fallen soldiers. I can only assume it’s happy because you’re celebrating their memory. I feel Happy should only be used for holidays that you’re actually happy about like, Happy Paris Hilton Got a Super STD That Ravaged Her Womb and Made Her Infertile Day. That’s something we can all celebrate.

Anyway, Happy Memorial Day. In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger, “I’ll be back (tomorrow. Right after I impregnate my maid. Okay, neighbor’s maid.)”

Before Emma Watson dropped out of Brown to “finish my work on ‘Harry Potter’ and to focus on my other professional and acting projects,” she was attending classes regularly and even participating. Although I don’t see why anyone would continue doing so when a bunch of douchebags heckle you.

According to the NYDN, Watson would often “answer something in class and get it right.” This sign of understanding was apparently a signal for the other students to shot out Harry Potter quotes like “Three points for Gryffindor!” Wow. So clever.

I’m sure afterward their bros gave them bro-fives and bro-hugs and then had sex with each other as part of some frat bonding experience. “Yeah, bro! You totally got that girl we’ve never met before and who actually knew what she was talking about. Now let’s see who can keep a penis in their mouth the longest! Pledges assemble!”

Emma Watson dropped out of Brown last week to focus on promoting the final installment of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and other projects. On her official website, she says it’s only temporary.

As you know, I love Brown and I love studying pretty much more than anything but recently I’ve had so much to juggle that being a student AND fulfilling my other commitments has become a little impossible.

I’ve decided to take a bit of time off to completely finish my work on Harry Potter (the last one comes out this summer) and to focus on my other professional and acting projects. I will still be working towards my degree… it’s just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought : )

Anyway, one of the official projects she may have been talking about was becoming the new face of Lancome. In a statement released Monday,

If I were her and I landed all these gigs, I wouldn’t go back to school either. School is hard. All that reading and studying and waking up early because you forgot to register for classes on time. Standing in front of a camera while someone tells you exactly what to do is much easier. At least that’s what I tell all the hot coeds at the college where I pretend to be a big time casting agent.

Emma Watson hit up a Pre-BAFTA party over the weekend in a blue dress with a plunging neckline when her nipple tape sang “forget you” and left.
