The A/V Club interviewed Curtis Armstrong (Booger in Revenge of the Nerds) about his life and career in film and one interesting anecdote he gave was about working with Gary Busey.

While shooting some movie where Gary plays a software tycoon who dies and gets reincarnated as a dog, Curtis says Busey, who died after an accident but came back, got into a fist fight over what Heaven should look like because he’d been there and the set looked nothing like it.

AVC: Yeah, sorry for dragging this one up. But this was a movie where you appeared alongside Gary Busey, who plays a software tycoon who dies and is reincarnated as a dog. Busey’s such a weirdo force-of-nature that we have to ask about working with him

CA: It was just what you’d imagine. That’s about the best way to put it. We were shooting this movie—which is a horrible movie—and he was supposed to come back from the dead. And he of course, Gary Busey, supposedly had done this—he’d been in an accident and died and came back. He showed up on a set made to look like Heaven, and he looked around and said, “I can’t play this scene.” They were three days behind at this point. But Busey said, “It’s nothing like this. I’ve been to Heaven and it doesn’t look like this. That sofa’s all wrong. That mirror is ridiculous. They don’t even have mirrors!” It was ridiculous. He was completely nuts about the design of Heaven.

But then on top of it, one of the guys playing an angel, had also died and come back. And this guy got into an argument with Busey about the way Heaven looked! The two of them wound up coming to blows and they had to send everybody home. So there you go. That’s what we were working with.

They obviously had cameras there. Why weren’t they filming this? This sounds amazing. If I was standing there listening to this, the only noise you’d hear from me is a squeal of joy because I’d be witnessing the greatest thing to ever happen. Can you imagine fighting with Busey over this? None of his arguments would make any sense but he’d say them with such conviction. “There should be two pigs on that sofa holding a remote control and it should be leather, not fabric! Clearly, you’ve never been to Heaven.”

Gary Busey filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and documents obtained by TMZ show that all he has from his long Hollywood career is a bunch of junk. Gary says he owes $508,600.96 in debts with $451,000 of that being from state and federal taxes he didn’t pay. Gary couldn’t pay that off because he only has $1,200 in a few banks sand a $7,000 security deposit with his landlord and whatever he owns which includes… wait for it:

The bolded ones are the items I found most interesting. 300 VHS tapes but no mention of a tape player? Busey probably runs the film through his teeth to project the images directly into his brain. Painting of an Indian? Like a famous one or just one he found on a reservation? 5 pairs of old moccasins? He must have really wanted to be an Indian what with that and his bow and arrows and teepees. Rollerblades? Can anyone imagine Gary Busey rollerblading? I can and it is hilarious. Imagining him with his horse teeth and short shorts and the briefcase he always carries around gliding down Santa Monica just makes my day.

You’ll also be pleased to hear Gary’s rep adding to the hilarity. Gary “is following the example of many successful buisiness people such as Abraham Lincoln, Walt Disney, Donald Trump, Francis Ford Coppola, Larry King, and many more Americans who have also utilized the tool of Bankruptcy to gain a fresh start.” That’s a very eclectic list of people. I’m just impressed he didn’t mention any fictional characters. I guess he didn’t want to make Busey seem crazy or something.

It’s simply amazing and blows Eden Wood out of the water. It even gets off to a great start with Alana stating, “A dollar makes me holla, honey boo boo.” What a sassy little stripper. Favorite moments include her dad slowly attempting to say, “I’d clip a million coupons if I had to,” and the freeze frame on her mom. *Shudders* Then there’s the part about her go-go juice which is just Mountain Dew. If you ever want to see a kid on crack without having to deal with a visit from CPS, dump a bunch of caffeine in your six-year-old like this woman.

At the Celebrity Apprentice cast party at Surrender in Vegas Sunday night, Gary Busey showed off his pole dancing skills to the horror of everyone. Terrifying. In that I can’t keep my hands off my monitor. Rawr. Look at that crack. My goodness, what is this tingling sensation in my pants?

Can’t security do anything about this like taser the guy? Wait. No. Better not. He might bite them with his horse teeth.

Gary Busey suffered severe head trauma from an accident in 1988 which left doctors fearing he’d have permanent brain damage. He proved doctors wrong by bouncing back to a normal state. Relative to that kid eating paste in the corner. Now he wants to give back.

During an interview in Toronto to a French reporter, Gary Busey said he wants to donate his magical brain to science. As Busey put it in the quote of the year, “It will be a propogational proportion to the pandemically pronasanal.” Indeed.

Cracking Busey’s skull open, one would find scrambled mush, yellow highlighters and loose change. The only medically relevant discovery from his head would be figuring out how someone could survive with 3/4 of their brain atrophied and which horse he stole his teeth from.

Gary Busey witnessed a car accident in Malibu this week and went right into hero mode. Busey rushed to help the 21-year-old injured in the crash.

Law enforcement sources tell us Gary called 911 on Tuesday afternoon after two cars collided on Pacific Coast Highway … but after the call, Gary was the first person who went down to the scene to help out.

According to a witness, Gary helped slow traffic — and stayed with one of the injured men until paramedics arrived.

TMZ spoke to the injured man’s mother — who told us Gary was “very sweet and caring” … and wanted to thank the actor for all of his help. The mom also told us her son only has minor back pain … but on the whole, he’s doing fine.

Busey seems really nice. If it was Lindsay Lohan, the only thing she’d do is ask the guy if he was holding and drive off when he gurgled “no.” But it must have freaked the guy out to wake up from unconsciousness only to see Gary Busey towering over him grinning ear to ear, literally, asking if he was all right. I would have darted out of that wreck so fast that the only thing Busey would see was a puff of smoke in the shape of my body.

Gary Busey debuts his nearly three-month old son Luke exclusively to ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT. The actor and his girlfriend Steffanie Sampson welcomed their baby boy into the world on February 23rd. The proud parents are currently developing a show about their new family and Gary’s role as a father.

Is Gary Busey legally allowed to raise a baby? It feels as if there should be some restrictions on how hands-on he can be. Letting Gary Busey handle a baby is like letting a guy with fire for hands handle gasoline.

An 11-year-old interviewed Gary Busey for the United Nation Children’s Foundation and it turned out fantastic. That is if you call being cut down by Gary Busey fantastic. Despite giving an awesome opinion on Paris Hilton (a pathological liar) and Britney and Lindsay (idiots), he gives the kid a hard time. The girl then asked Gary to give a shout out to her website. That’s when the real fun begins. In Gary’s defense, the kid was being a total jackass. How dare you not speak up when talking to this artist.

Starzlife, the ones who filmed it, didn’t take kindly to his craziness because yesterday, they called him A’Busey and said Gary was visibly drunk. Gary also “spit-yelled” at the kid and “yanked” the camera out of her hands. They took the whole thing down today of course. Possibly in fear Gary Busey might come over and once again bathe them in his spittle.

Gary Busey made a call to Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM show this morning to explain why he interrupted his interview last night on the red carpet of the Oscars. Listen to it here. This dude is weird. If Gary started talking to me, I’d have a shank ready in one of my hands.

I wanted to talk to you about other things. I didn’t know you were in the middle of an interview and I was just moving through there. Your eyes looked like a deer in headlights. [Woman starts talking] Who are you? [Explains who she is. Ryan and Gary talk some more. Same woman starts talking again.] Who’s talking now?”

Last night, Ryan Seacrest tried to conduct an interview with Jennifer Garner and Laury Linney on the red carpet when an attention whoring Gary Busey suddenly appeared and shouted, “I’ve been looking for you for years!” A stunned Ryan didn’t know what to do as Gary Busey introduced himself to Laura with a handshake and a kiss on the check and then introduced himself to Jennifer with a kiss on the neck. Garner was taken aback; as anyone would be when they realize were just molested by Gary Busey.

Sadly, Gary Busey was able to do what judges have ordered me not to do. That is to go out in public. If anyone is more deserving of this ankle monitor and the 24/7 sniper stationed on the roof of the house across from me, it would be him.
