The cheers you heard were from the cast of Grey’s Anatomy after Katherine Heigl confirmed she’s off the show for good in an interview with EW. She finalized the deal with ABC and will not appear in the final five episodes. She says the decision to leave was because she wanted to spend more time with her daughter and not because she wanted to be a film star.

“I am done,” declares Heigl. “We just finalized our agreement. Everyone had been working really hard to find an amicable and gracious way of letting go and moving on. It’s sad but it’s what I wanted.”

The 31-year-old actress reveals that it was family issues, not her burgeoning film career, that prompted her to approach series creator Shonda Rhimes and ask to be let out of her contract 18 months early. “I started a family and it changed everything for me,” says Heigl, who took a three-month family leave from Grey’s this season to bond with her newly-adopted daughter, Naleigh. “It changed my desire to work full-time.”

I’m sure her daughter did change her desire. Those film offers helped too. Once she realized she didn’t have to work full time she up and quit. On the bright side, the rest of the cast won’t have to listen to her bitching anymore.

Katherine Heigl, that ungrateful ass, hasn’t returned to the set of Grey’s despite her three month maternity leave ending on March 1.

News is Heigl wants to focus on films because all those romantic comedies have done oh so well. EW reports series creator Shonda Rhimes has agreed to release Heigl from her contract and all that needs to be done now is hash out an exit deal.

I think a good exit deal would be too kick her in the ass and tell her not to let the door hit her on the way out. And then make sure the door hits her on the way out.

For five episodes. EW reports that Katherine Heigl will be taking a leave of absence to film the Greg Berlanti-directed romantic comedy Life as We Know It. Producer’s promise her disappearance will be explained. Meanwhile, the rest of the cast are raising their glasses to toast the temporary departure of that bitch. It’s surprising that they even granted her time-off since last we heard from Heigl she was whining about a 17 hour work day.

When Katherine returns, everyone should pretend they don’t know her and that her character never existed. I think that would be funny. “Katherine? Katherine who? We don’t know a Katherine,” they’d shrug as security comes to tase her and drag her off the premises.

Katherine Heigl has become an unbearable thorn in everyone’s side. Ever since she found fame playing Izzie in Grey’s Anatomy and that whiny bitch in Knocked Up, her ego has almost reached Kanye West proportions.

For example, last year Heigl withdrew herself from Emmy consideration because she felt the material for Grey’s was “lacking”, basically giving the finger to the writers. Heigl has also made it clear that she wants off the show to start a film career.

In response, show creator Shonda Rhimes gave her cancer. On last night’s finale, Izzie had to have brain surgery for said cancer and signed a DNR order. The bad news is she survived the surgery with a little bit of amnesia. The good news is that right when her amnesia went away, she died in her husband’s arms. Of course, we don’t know if she’s really dead until next season, but it’s satisfying to know the option is there. Sort of like a gun. You know you’ll probably never use it, but it’s nice to know it’s there for when you bring a girl home.

Katherine Heigl has had a change of heart and would very much like to stay on Grey’s Anatomy despite earlier attempts at exiting the show that made her famous to begin a film career. She even withdrew her name from an Emmy nomination last year because she didn’t think the writing was good enough. Now she doesn’t want to leave. But no one in the know has hinted at whether she’s staying or leaving.

On Friday, Heigl said she’s comfortable balancing movies and TV by working on big-screen projects during the summer hiatus for “Grey’s Anatomy.”

“I’m more than happy to make that compromise. As my agent likes to say, ‘High-class problems,’” Heigl said.

“I don’t know if I want to continue for five years working 12 months a year, but I can take at least another year or two,” she said.

How gracious for Heigl to grace everyone with her presence for another year or two. They should be so honored. Honestly, you could replace her with a blonde chick with big tits you pulled off the street and the only thing people would talk about is who styled her new hair.

Katherine Heigl recently pulled out of the running for an Emmy because she said her material was lacking (ie. the Grey’s Anatomy writers suck). Yesterday, a show insider contacted EW and expressed his dissatisfaction.

“The show bent over backwards to accommodate her film schedule, and then she criticizes the show for lack of material?” the insider said. “It’s an ungrateful slap in the face to the very writers responsible for her Emmy win in the first place.”

To let her know how they feel, the writers should make a Katherine Heigl death flip book out of the script. That way when Katherine goes over her lines, she can see herself on fire running around with no one caring enough to pour water on her and eventually she just falls to the ground turning into ash. Also they should smear feces on every other page. I always find it helpful when you’re subtle in these types of situations.

T.R. Knight has become so disgusted with how the Isaiah Washington gay slur situation was handled that he may be leaving Grey’s Anatomy.

“He was told not to say anything about the whole incident. He kept his word, but then the whole thing blew up again at the Golden Globes, and when he was asked about it, he basically called Isaiah a liar. He feels that the atmosphere there is so toxic and unhealthy.”

Knight’s spokeswoman said this is “completely, one thousand percent false.” Holy bejesus. One thousand percent? I would be kind of skeptical at one hundred percent, but that one thousand percent totally convinces me.
