Britney Spears recently named “If U Seek Amy” as the next single off her new album. This in turn infuriated the Parents Television Council (huh?). They say that even though the lyrics are “If U Seek Amy” it is essentially saying “F-U-C-K M-E.” Now other parents have been complaining to radio stations and demanding they ...

“There is no misinterpreting the lyrics to this song, and it’s certainly not about a girl named Amy,” PTC president Tim Winter said. “It’s one thing for a song with these lyrics to be included on a CD so that fans who wish to hear it can do so, but it’s an entirely different matter when this song is played over the publicly owned airwaves, especially at a time when children are likely to be in the listening audience.”

Okay, that is pretty cool. Screw the PTC — who should only be allowed to whine about TV — and bored soccer moms. Usually, I’m a all for making fun of Britney, but this time she did something mildly interesting. Let her enjoy this. She hasn’t received this many accolades in months. Ever since she fit a record breaking 30 marshmallows in her mouth without choking, it’s been all downhill… until now.
