Jamie Kennedy, ex boyfriend of the needy Jennifer Love Hewitt, celebrated his 41st birthday at Cosmo in Vegas over the weekend. It didn’t turn out as expected because he was handcuffed and escorted out of the casino.

Sources say a random girl came up to Jamie and asked for comedy career advice. For whatever reason, her boyfriend thought Jamie was hitting on her and confronted him. The guy got up in Jamie’s face and Jamie pushed him back. Clearly not overreacting, security tackled both of them and led Jamie out in handcuffs. According to TMZ, the two sorted out their differences and no charges were filed.

Was it really necessary to tackle Jamie Kennedy of all people? He’s about as harmless as a de-spined porcupine. The only way he can defend himself is by telling terrible jokes.

A rep has confirmed to PEOPLE that Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy have split.

Jennifer and Jamie were together since March 2009. Although back in October, it was reported that Hewitt was oblivious to the fact that Jamie had already mentally checked out of the relationship and was trying to hook up with his ex, Shannon Funk.

In January on the George Lopez Show, she might have alluded to the split by talking about bedazzling her vagina after a break-up. Can you imagine that? Hewitt sitting on her pear ass hunched over sobbing while gluing Swarovski crystals one by one onto her vagina and taking a break every few minutes to shovel ice cream in her mouth? Rawr! FOX 411 says that in his mind, Jamie Kennedy has already dumped Jennifer Love Hewitt, but Hewitt doesn’t have a clue. Probably too busy munching on fried Oreos to head the warning signs.

The insider tells FOX411 that Jamie is still in contact with Funk, who is Britney Spears’ former assistant, but that the “Ghost Whisperer” star does not know.

“Jamie is still hung up on Shannon and has been telling her that,” says the source. “He also told her he had zero desire to go to the Tao event with [Love Hewiit], but Jen insisted they go together to put rumors to rest. Jamie decided he at least owed her that, so he appeased her and accompanied her to the event even though he’s pretty much checked out of the relationship.”

It’s opening at the 14th Annual Gen Art Film Festival so if have some weird fascination with D-list penis, you’d probably want to go.

Personally, I don’t want to know anything about it. I’d rather give Teri Hatcher a hand job. It already freaks me out that Jamie Kennedy is dating Jennifer Love Hewitt.
