Like all starving actresses, when an opportunity for work comes up, you take it. And if the project calls for nudity, you weigh it against your other options which include sitting outside of Starbucks waiting for your phone to ring and calling your agent to ask why your phone hasn’t rung. You do a little back and forth in your head and think about the time Scott Cann took semi-nude photos of you and rationalize that since everyone has already seen you naked, it makes no difference whether or not you take the part.

Lake Bell did a shoot for the September edition of Maxim. The basic premise was to get Lake Bell wet. Most people would do this the hard way by taking her out to dinner and whispering sweet nothings into her ear. But, like me, Maxim didn’t want to put in all that effort so they just threw a pitcher of water at her. Voila!

I don’t know who Lake Bell is, but apparently Scott Caan does because he took a bunch of pictures of her inside the Bar Marmont bathroom and published them in a book. He also photographed a few other celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and threw those in too. Basically what we can learn from this is if you have sort of a famous sounding name and an expensive looking camera, you can trick girls into getting half-naked and having their pictures taken. NSFW sort of.

The last show I saw Lake Bell in was Surface. I remember she had big boobs. I’m glad GQ continues to remind me of that fact.
