Angelina Jolie has just signed on for a worldwide ad campaign for designer Louis Vuitton. A source says Jolie will be paid close to $10 million for being the face of LV. Shooting Jolie will be famed photographer Annie Leibowitz. Previously, Jolie had endorsement deals with St. John and Shiseido.

This is both a good get for Angelina and LV. LV gets to market itself as a wealthy brand using one of the most famous celebrities out there who has little or no controversy surrounding them and is widely loved and Angelina gets $10 million. Seems like a fair deal. Much better than the one Louis Vuitton made with me which was “leave the building now and we won’t call the cops.” Those guys are tough negotiators.

Side note: Aw, crap. Angelina Jolie has the Madonna arm thing going on. She’s about 1% fat right now.

Madonna is in another Louis Vuitton campaign. A leaked photo from the Autumn/Winter 2009 collection shows a highly airbrushed Madonna leaning back in a sofa looking uncomfortable. There’s so much airbrushing here that they could have saved some money and just drawn this from scratch. She doesn’t even look real. She looks like one of those dolls you buy at Wal-Mart to play dress up with and then hide deep within your closet when your friends come over for beer pong.

Where’s the realism? The bulging veins, the sunken eyes, the pointed elbows, the muscular, sinewy arms, the inexplicable discomfort you get in the pit of your stomach when you look at her? None of those things are here. I don’t even know who she is anymore.

Kanye West shot an ad for Louis Vuitton with his girlfriend Amber Rose. It was a chilling imagining of what the future will be like. Apparently in the year 3000, everyone will have their own androgynous being lying nude on their lap in an inexplicable state of bliss.
