Hours after the Eszterhas tape was released, Harry Knowles, during a Q&A session for Get the Gringo, noted director Adrian Grunberg had a Star of David necklace and asked straight up if he and Mel Gibson had any trouble working together.

Mel replied “no,” obviously, and Grunberg said he’s worked with Mel for years without any issues. He then joked, “I hate [Mel's] guts.”

A little off topic, but who thought it was a good idea to put Harry Knowles on camera. That guy is what fuels nightmares. He had balls to ask that question though because if Mel were to charge at him to kick his ass, the only thing he could do to escape would be to try and roll away. Video under the cut.

Joe Eszterhas wrote a scathing letter to Mel Gibson basically calling him a raging anti-Semite. The letter somehow found its way to the internet. Mel sort of denied most of what was said explaining Joe confused his passion and intensity for lunacy. Then Joe said he had tapes. Then Mel went “Oh, sh*t.” And now here they are all over the internet.

I know no one can ever get enough of Mel Gibson screaming so listen to the tape under the cut which was recorded on Joe’s 15-year-old son’s iPod. Oh and yea, Gibson was screaming at Joe, his kid and his wife along with a few other guests.

Here’s the transcript since the tape is barely audible.

What makes all this rage worse is Mel gets really sarcastic. “Who wants to eat?! Who the fuck wants to eat?! Go have something to eat! Hurrrrraaaaayyyyyy!” Well, if the meal wasn’t ruined by then, it is now.

TMZ reports that Mel is considering suing saying he believes he has a “basic human right” not to be secretly recorded in his own home. Mel’s people are looking into Costa Rican privacy laws and seeing if any were violated. If they can’t find any, Mel will just shout at a judge until they figure something out.

You may have read about the letter screenwriter Joe Eszterhas penned where he described Mel Gibson as a Jew hater and all around angry dude. You may also have thought a lot of what he wrote was exaggerated because he’s bitter WB rejected his Jewish Braveheart script for the John Maccabee movie Mel wanted to make.

Joe wants to make it perfectly clear that not all of what he wrote was fiction and that he can back up most of it with recordings his son Nick made in Costa Rica. Joe doesn’t tell TMZ which quotes his son exactly taped only that he has ” a lot.” He also claims people who witnessed Mel’s rants are willing to come forward. Regarding his rejected script, “I’m heartbroken. I put my heart and soul into a script for someone who hates Jews.”

No one knows how badly this new scandal will affect Mel’s upcoming movie Get the Gringo but I’m sure he’ll at least be glad that once this comes out, his stereotyping of Mexico will get those Jews off his back.

It’s almost halfway through 2012 so it was pretty odd that we hadn’t heard any “Mel Gibson is antisemitic” news yet. Glad that’s about to change.

Screenwriter Joe Eszterhas (Showgirls, Basic Instinct), who Mel Gibson hired to write the script for Judah Maccabee to prove to everyone he isn’t a raging anti-Semite, had turned in a draft back in February and never heard back from Mel. He got a little, okay, very upset and wrote a nine page letter that he promised to have only sent to Nick Guerra, Mel’s assistant. Somehow the letter found it’s way into the hands of The Wrap. Here’s a quick summary.

On why Mel wanted to do a Maccabee film: I’ve come to the conclusion that you never had, or have, any intention of making a film about the Maccabees. I believe you announced the project with great fanfare — “a Jewish Braveheart” — in an attempt to deflect continuing charges of anti-semitism which have dogged you. I’ve come to the conclusion that the reason you won’t make The Maccabees is the ugliest possible one. You hate Jews.

On Mel’s unfiltered Antisemitism: Let me remind you of some of the things you said which appalled me. You continually called Jews “Hebes” and “oven-dodgers” and “Jewboys.” It seemed that most times when we discussed someone, you asked ‘He’s a Hebe, isn’t he?’ You said most ‘gatekeepers’ of American companies were ‘Hebes’ who ‘controlled their bosses.’

Mel still doesn’t believe the Holocaust happened: You said the Holocaust was “mostly a lot of horseshit.” You said the Torah made reference to the sacrifice of Christian babies and infants. When I told you that you were confusing the Torah with The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, … you insisted “it’s in the Torah — it’s in there!” (It isn’t).

On Mel’s real reason for doing the movie: Perhaps most disturbing, as I wrote out the script, was a comment you made to me in your Malibu house. It came out of the blue, while you were playing on the living room floor with your little girl, Luci. “What I really want to do with this movie,” you said, “is to convert the Jews to Christianity.”

On Mel wanting to stab Oksana while f*cking her up the butt: Shortly after we got there [Gibson's property in Costa Rica, where they were to work on the script], you and my [15-year-old] son Nick and some others went surfing. On the way to the sea, walking along in the sand, you turned to Nick and said, “I want to f*ck her in the ass and stab her to death while I’m doing it.”

On aging:  You hurled your cell phone into a wall and started to scream, “I look so f*cking old! I look horrible! That f*cking whore is destroying me! She’s taking my looks! I hate her! She’s destroying my life!” You jumped up, screaming full-throated: “Look at me!! f*cking look at me! Look how terrible I look! Answer me, God! Why did you turn your back on me?! f*ck you! f*ck you!” You stepped a few feet away and screamed into the sky, “I’m not gonna take it up the ass anymore and say, ‘Thank you, your honor!”

Take this letter with a grain of salt. While everything in here sounds plausible, it could be that Eszterhas was pissed about his script being rejected. Anyway, Mel wrote back.

Joe,

I have your letter. I am not going to respond to it line by line, but I will say that the great majority of the facts as well as the statements and actions attributed to me in your letter are utter fabrications. I would have thought that a man of principle, as you purport to be, would have withdrawn from the project regardless of the money if you truly believed me to be the person you describe in your letter. I guess you only had a problem with me after Warner Brothers rejected your script.

I will acknowledge like most creative people I am passionate and intense. I was very frustrated that when you arrived at my home at the expense of both Warner Brothers and myself you hadn’t written a single word of a script or even an outline after 15 months of research, meetings, discussions and the outpouring of my heartfelt vision for this story. I did react more strongly than I should have. I promptly sent you a written apology, the colorful words of which you apparently now find offensive. Let me now clearly apologize to you and your family in the simplest of terms.

Contrary to your assertion that I was only developing Maccabees to burnish my tarnished reputation, I have been working on this project for over 10 years and it was publicly announced 8 years ago. I absolutely want to make this movie; it’s just that neither Warner Brothers nor I want to make this movie based on your script.

Honestly, Joe, not only was the script delivered later than you promised, both Warner Brothers and I were extraordinarily disappointed with the draft. In 25 years of script development I have never seen a more substandard first draft or a more significant waste of time. The decision not to proceed with you was based on the quality of your script, not on any other factor.

I think that we can agree that this should be our last communication.

I like the part where he says the majority of that letter isn’t true and admitted to reacting “more strongly than I should have” and said that the colorful words in his apology letter he sent to Joe wasn’t meant to be offensive. Now I want to know what the apology letter said. Was it more of Mel going off on a tangent about ways to f*ck Oksana while killing her and swearing at an imaginary Jew devil out to get him? To be fair, it’s not hard to imagine the script sucked harder than Oksana did when Mel punched her in the diaphragm. May I remind you this is the guy who wrote Showgirls.

Laura Bellizzi, 35, a reality star who appeared in Secrets of Aspen in 2010, dated Mel Gibson over the summer and is now rumored to be pregnant with his baby. The two were last seen at the Mondrian hotel’s Skybar on June 15.

Laura and Mel are both denying the claims but an insider says she’s confided in friends that Mel’s the dad.

“Laura’s being as secretive as she can be about it,” the insider told Star. “But she’s really showing now, and people are beginning to ask the question: ‘Who’s the daddy?’” Radar Online

A source close to Mel says it’s “physically impossible” for him to have fathered a child. I disagree. Have you heard those voicemails he left Oksana? They’re terrifying. Mel probably yelled at Laura’s womb for 30 minutes and told it to blow him before it got pregnant. And it did. Both.

By now you’ve probably heard that Mel Gibson is working with Basic Instinct writer, Joe Eszterhas, to produce a film about Jewish hero Judah Maccabee who liberated Jerusalem in a bible story and inspired Hannukah.

Surprisingly a few Jewish leaders aren’t too happy about this considering in 2006 Mel went on an Anti-semitic rant proclaiming Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world. Then he called a female cop “sugar tits.” Suffice to say, it was not a good day for Mel.

Says Abe Foxman, head of the Anti Defamation League, to The Hollywood Reporter: “It would be a travesty to have [Judah Maccabee's] story told by one who has no respect and sensitivity for other people’s religious views.”

Added Rabbi Marvin Heir of the Simon Wiesenthal Center Museum of Tolerance to THR: “Casting [Gibson] as a director or perhaps as the star of Judah Maccabee is like casting Madoff to be the head of the Securities and Exchange Commission, or a white supremacist as trying to portray Martin Luther King Jr…It’s a complete misfit for the role of Judah Maccabee, one of the greatest Jewish heroes in all of history to be portrayed by someone who has shown nothing but antagonism and anti-Semitism toward Jews.” — Us

Apart from that, I’d find it interesting to see if Mel turns Judah Maccabee into a warmongering Jew and if in the final scene he stabs the main villain with a menorah and lights it and says a catchy phrase.

At one point, Mel Gibson’s ex, Oksana Grigorieva, had a $15 million settlement in her hands. But Oksana wanted to play with the big girls so she decided to hold out for more.

Sadly for her, like Icarus, she flew too close to the sun that is Mel Gibson’s pocketbook and raging hard-on. An agreement was reached yesterday as part of their custody settlement. According to the terms, Oksana will only get $750,000 from Mel. Over five years. Bwahahaha.

The settlement will be paid in three installments of $250,000. The first was made when the deal was signed, the second on Sep. 15, 2013 and the third on Jan. 1, 2016.

Not only that, but originally, Oksana wanted full custody of their daughter Lucia. After yesterday’s ruling, she’ll have joint legal and physical custody of Lucia. The judge also said the house she and Lucia are living in now will be sold when Lucia turns 18 and the money put in a trust for Lucia.

Of course, another condition is neither couple can speak publicly about Oksana not blowing Mel before the hot tub.

Oksana supposedly said, “Thanks to the judge for the tremendous help to resolve this matter.” What she really wanted to do was drop to her knees, shake her designer purse at the heavens and scream, “Why has god forsaken me?!”

If I had a vagina, it’d be quivering with excitement right now. Especially if instead of a landing strip, it had a Hitler stache.

Mel Gibson has a lengthy interview up on Deadline where he says he’s never treated anyone badly, feels terrible about what happened and claims those tapes you heard were edited and taken from just one moment in time. Oh and The Beaver is coming out soon.

I’ve never treated anyone badly or in a discriminatory way based on their gender, race, religion or sexuality — period. I don’t blame some people for thinking that though, from the garbage they heard on those leaked tapes, which have been edited. You have to put it all in the proper context of being in an irrationally, heated discussion at the height of a breakdown, trying to get out of a really unhealthy relationship. It’s one terribly, awful moment in time, said to one person, in the span of one day and doesn’t represent what I truly believe or how I’ve treated people my entire life.

Actually, Mel seems to have adapted pretty well to what’s happened. He doesn’t even seem to mind that the cast of The Hangover forced him out of a cameo in the sequel while accepting a rapist like Mike Tyson.

You have to let that go. I sat here and talked to [director] Todd [Phillips] about it. I like Todd. How could you not like Todd? He’s smart and he’s gifted and so are the other people in the film. It’s okay. You just have to let that go.

Well, in Hollywood, rape is pretty normal. It’s like coke in that town. Everybody’s done it at least once.

When asked if Mel’s worried at all that the incident may have torpedoed his acting career, he brushes it off and says he wouldn’t mind if he never acted again.

“I’m beyond that, way beyond that. The whole experience has been most unfortunate. And so it’s not without all the downside.

I could easily not act again. It’s not a problem. I’m going to do something now because I want to do it and because it’s fun. I’ve already pulled another job and it’s going to be fun.”

And why would he? He’s made millions over the years. I wouldn’t work either. I’d just sit at home stroking my Bengal tiger and telling my sex slaves to dance for me.

Anyway, this is about 1/10th of the interview so head over the Deadline if you want to read it. Oddly, Deadline never mentioned if they had to blow Mel first before getting this interview but I’m just going to assume they did.

Mel Gibson turned himself in to the El Segundo Police Department to be booked and processed after pleading no contest to misdemeanor battery last week. The charges stem from the incident between Mel and Oksana Grigorieva in January 2010. Mel was sentenced to 16 hours of community service, 52 weeks of counseling and 26 months of informal probation.

His booking photo (left) is quite charming. Him and his emotionless stare. Facial experts have said it translates to “I’m going to murder you in your sleep if you don’t blow me before we go to the hot tub.”

Mel Gibson won’t receive jail time after striking a plea deal in his criminal case. Mel will appear in court Friday to plead no contest to simple battery in his case with Oksana Grigorieva.

Instead of jail time, he’ll have to go to counseling. Because that obviously works so well. Supposedly, Mel decided to plea because he didn’t want to put a strain on his family and children from the prolonged court case.

Blair Berk, released the following statement to TMZ: “I know from almost 20 years as a criminal defense lawyer that sometimes justice can come for a client at too high a personal price. That is particularly so for Mel, whose right to due process can only be exercised in this case with an enormous media circus attached.”

Berk goes on, “Mel’s priority throughout all of this has been that the best interests of his young daughter Lucia and the rest of his children be put first in any decisions made. It is with only that in mind that he asked me to approach the District Attorney with a proposal that would bring all of this to an immediate end.”

What they’re saying is you can threaten to bury your girlfriend in your rose garden if she doesn’t blow you first before going to the hot tub in hundreds of voicemails and all you have to do is go to counseling? Excuse me. I have to make a few calls. Yes, operator. Please connect me to my third grade teacher who gave me an F. I have a rose garden with her name on it.

Oksana Grigorieva, Mel Gibson’s ex, is trying to keep the spotlight on her custody case by introducing new allegations that she never mentioned during her multiple interviews with the LA County Sheriff’s Department.

In her deposition on Tuesday, Oksana testified that Mel had performance problems and could only get aroused by beating her.

Oksana’s plan is ingenious. Even if she doesn’t win her case, she’ll make sure no woman ever sleeps with him. Not only would Mel be constantly shouting at you during sex and sweating profusely but instead of Viagra, he’d be punching you in the face. I may not know a lot about women but I assume that would be a turnoff.

Winona Ryder recalled a time back in the 90′s when Mel Gibson launched a racial slur at her and she didn’t even realize it.

15 years ago at a big, fancy Hollywood party, Mel went up to Winona and her gay friend. After a “horrible gay joke,” it somehow came up that Winona was Jewish. That’s when Mel made a comment about “oven dodgers.” Winona didn’t understand what it meant until later.

“I’d never heard that before. It was just this weird, weird moment. I was like, ‘He’s anti-Semitic and he’s homophobic.’ No one believed me!”

Those shoplifting charges didn’t help her credibility but luckily she remembers this completely random event 15 years later. Coincidentally, during the promotional tour and Oscar push for Black Swan which she has a part in. Funny how things work out.
