Mr. T is finally doing away with his gold chains. Apparently, he has been so moved by the plight of Hurrican Katrina victims that he has decided to stop wearing his chains because it’s an insult to God. I don’t know how many times I’ve read that. I still don’t get it.

Mr. T forgoing his jewelry doesn’t seem to be that smart of a move. Doesn’t he derive his power from the gold? The gold makes him who he is. Without 50 pounds of metal around his neck, Mr. T would just be seen as an intense black guy who randomly releases a barrage of quips all begining with the phrase, “I pity the fool”. In other words, he’ll be like the loveable Gill, the urine soaked homeless guy by my office. And no one wants to be a Gill.
