Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End

: At World’s End has finally released a trailer. It’s a fervent mix of Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and an abnormally tan Keira Knightley. Watch it in HD here. The action is exciting enough I suppose, but what I’m really pumped about is Chow Yun-Fat as a pirate. I can’t wait to count the gongs each time he makes an appearance. And where’s Keith Richards? I refuse to jump for joy until I see Kieth’s jowls flapping in the wind.

I haven’t seen 2 yet because stepping outside is like stepping into a furnace, only not as comfortable. Pirates held on to their #1 spot making $35 million over the weekend to prove that it is possible to make a movie that will drive people to theaters. It also broke another record by reaching the $300 million mark faster than any other movie. Monster House, which looked like ass, took the #2 spot. Showing that the movie going public have wised up after The Village, finished at #3. Clerks II took the #6 spot with My Super Ex-Girlfriend following at #7. This week Miami Vice and premiere. Hollywood. Please recognize your cash cow. Gay pirates. I repeat. Gay pirates. People just can’t get enough.

Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

: Dead Man’s Chest made $132 million over the weekend. It broke both the records for amount made on opening day and for a weekend opening. On Friday, the movie made $55 million beating out Revenge of the Sith which made $50 million. Over the weekend, it pretty much kicked Spider-Man’s record of $114 million in the balls and left it on the ground crying. Not only did it break records, it managed to set one. Pirates of the Caribbean became the first movie ever to pass the $100 million mark in two days.

It makes you wonder how a flamboyant pirate could attract so many fans and at the same time, it also makes you realize The Village People really missed out on something big. They had the gay cowboy already, but all they needed was a gay pirate.

The site for Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest is live. If you have enough patience, you can try and find all the “plunder” to unlock Davey Jones’ chest. Supposedly you can win things. I assume these things are of no value to people. Since I have no patience to begin with, I won’t be testing my theory, unless you change the words Davey Jones’ chest to Jessica Simpson’s chest. Zing!

Update: I lied and unlocked the treasure. You get a screensaver and wallpaper! I proved my point. A link to the screensaver and wallpaper (1900×1600) so others don’t have to go through the hell I did.
