Last year, Raffaello Follieri was flying around  in private jets, eating $100 breakfasts and banging Anne Hathaway. Today, he spends all of his time in jail crying about the unsanitary conditions.

“He says that he cannot eat because the food appears to be spoiled and that the toilet and shower facilities are unspeakably unsanitary,” the letter from Flora Edwards said.

“There is excrement in the shower and rats are roaming freely in the area. He says the stench is intolerable,” the letter continued.

Boo hoo, asshole. Follieri cheated people out of millions and used their money to jettison around the world, dine with royalty and eat endangered species. He gets no sympathy. He should consider himself lucky. At least he has his memories. That way, he can think of the gold old days while he’s lathering up with soap and diseased rat poop. Some people don’t even have that.

Raffaello Follieri, the man who bilked hundreds out of their money, was sentenced in Manhattan federal court today to 4 1/2 years in prison. That’s right. Prison, not jail.

Through an interpreter, Follieri delivered a statement, in which he said, “The most important thing I want the court to know is I was not raised with bad values. … I started off with good intentions, determined to run an honorable business and make everyone proud of me.”

But, he admitted, “What I did was wrong and there is no point in making excuses. … I will never be able to wash away the shame. … I just hope that someday those who have been hurt by my actions will forgive me.”

He started with good intentions, said his attorney, but then he “sunk and sunk into a quagmire of his own making.”

Did someone say Quaqmire? Giggity giggity. There’s no one here who believes Follieri is sincere. Read between the lines. His statement roughly translates to, “I’m sorry. Sorry that I got caught. If I had gotten away with this, I’d be laughing at the penniless old people I scammed from the comfort of my yacht right now and I’d be stuffing $100 bills in Anne Hathaway’s mouth as we made sweet love.”

Anne Hathaway was on David Letterman last night where she was grilled about her relationship with the now incarcerated Raffaello Follieri. At one point, Anne looked towards Paul for assistance, but got nothing. She made it through the interview with a good sense of humor and proves that even though the butt sex story about her was made up, she still seems like a fun girl. The type of girl you could have butt sex with.

Anne Hathaway’s ex, Raffaello Follieri, has been sentenced to 5 years in prison for his part in a real estate scam where he pretended to work for the Vatican and ended up defrauding people of $6 million. Per TMZ, Raffaello pled guilty to 14 counts of fraud and asked the judge to let him out of his NYC holding cell because of “unspecified inmate issues.”

When asked specifically what those issues were, Raffaello whispered, “My cellmate. He’s too…,” and he then made that gesture with his hands that people usually make when they tell stories about the size of the sea bass they caught on their last fishing trip. Then he pointed to his ass while giving the judge puppy dog eyes.

Rush & Molloy are reporting that the feds have raided Raffaello Follieri’s $37,500 a month Trump Tower condo and confiscated Anne Hathaway’s journals. Ever since Raffaello was charged with 11 counts of fraud and money laundering, Anne has cut off all contact with him and changed her phone numbers. I guess she forgot to pick up her diaries which was for some reason at his place.

According to friends, he still wonders whether Hathaway, 25, helped put him behind bars. “He was in Europe, working on a deal,” says a source. “He didn’t have to come back to New York. He knew he was being investigated. But she kept calling him, saying they needed to resolve their future. A few days after his return, he was arrested.”

Anne Hathaway’s personal diaries may prove much more interesting and informative than my personal diaries I had that the FBI confiscated a while ago. Every entry just says, “I’m so pretty.” Although, one time I wrote, “I’m so, so pretty,” but I must admit I was feeling really good about myself that day.

Anne Hathaway was taken aback by yesterday’s arrest of her ex-boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri. Sources say Anne “never thought it could be this bad” and “even when he turned himself in for the check cashing, she bought the excuses he gave her.” The source defends Anne’s poor judgment by saying Raffaello was good at tricking people.

“This was a guy who convinced businessmen he was the CFO of the Vatican — so maybe her seeming naïve is a testament to his powers of manipulation,” says the source. “Who hasn’t wanted to believe a lie from someone they love?”

Raffaello told people he was the CFO of the Vatican… It stands to reason the excuse he gave Anne for his past indiscretions was that there was a vast government conspiracy to frame him and that the only way to get to the bottom of this was to try anal. Anne should have known something was up when afterwards Raffaello tilted his head back and went, “Muahahahaha!” She probably thought it was just acid reflux.

Anne Hathaway’s ex-boyfriend has been arrested again. This time for fraud. Raffaello Follieri, 29, is accused of running a real estate investment scheme where he claimed to be a representative for the Vatican in the US to buy Roman Catholic church properties at below-market value.

According to the complaint, Follieri spent hundreds of thousands of dollars he obtained from investors on an opulent lifestyle, including privately chartered flights to travel around the world with friends and family, expensive meals and clothing, a posh apartment in Manhattan and medical expenses.

According to the complaint, his actual connections to the Vatican amounted to attending meetings with members of the clergy in Italy arranged by an administrative employee whom he paid using money from his principal investor.

Recently it was reported Anne Hathaway broke up with Raffaello because she was afraid his shady business practices would negatively affect her career. I don’t see why. He seems like a good guy. Come on. Who hasn’t pretended to be the financial officer for the Vatican to buy church property for cheap. People do it ALL the time. Just like telling a one night stand you don’t have an STD.
