The coroner’s autopsy results are out for both Ryan Dunn and his passenger Zachary Hartwell who, according to the report, both died a violent death. The results describe the crash as so brutal, it was impossible to determine whether they died from the blunt force trauma or the resulting fire that consumed the Porsche. Toxicology results will be released in 4 to 6 weeks and will help determine if alcohol played a factor.

Initially, it was suspected Dunn was going 110 MPH but the newest police report says Dunn was doing 130 MPH in his Porsche at the time of the crash. An accident reconstruction team determined the speed after inspecting the crash scene. They say Dunn’s car hit a guardrail at high speed, crashed into the woods and burst into flames.

Police Chief Michael Carroll said he’s “never seen a car destroyed in an automobile accident the way this car was … even before it caught on fire.” He called it the “worst” he’s ever seen by far.

Meanwhile, in related news, Roger Ebert issued a quasi-apology on his Chicago Sun-Times blog for tweeting, “Friends don’t let jackasses drink and drive.” He wrote, “I have no way of knowing if Ryan Dunn was drunk at the time of his death. I don’t know what happened in this case, and I was probably too quick to tweet. That was unseemly.”

The apology was followed by a big “BUT” as he went on to cite an interview with Bam Margera’s mother who said Dunn was a fast driver and an incident where Dunn charged with a DUI.

So Ebert wasn’t exactly apologizing for what he said but rather apologizing that people got butt hurt about it.

News broke on Monday that Ryan Dunn, 24, of CKY and Jackass fame, and his passenger, Zachary Hartwell, had died in a car crash after losing control of his 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 in Pennsylvania. Going at around 110 MPH, Dunn somehow flipped over a guardrail and crashed into the woods causing the car to burst into flames. The only recognizable part of the Porsche was a door thrown from the crash.

Many believe alcohol was a contributing factor because of how drunk Dunn looked two hours before at Barnaby’s of America in West Chester and his history with DUI. TMZ says Ryan downed 3 beers and 3 shots in 4 hours before getting into the car.

Following the news, Roger Ebert got his two cents in, tweeting, “Friends don’t let jackasses drink and drive.” A relevant point to make about how his friends should have stopped him from driving drunk.

Bam Margera, however, got upset. He tweeted back, “I just lost my best friend, I have been crying hysterical for a full day and piece of shit roger ebert has the gall to put in his 2 cents,” and, “About a jackass drunk driving and his is one, fuck you! Millions of people are crying right now, shut your fat fucking mouth!”

Death is sad but Bam might be exaggerating when he says millions are crying about the death of a guy that entertained others by sticking things in his ass and diving into pools of poop. Speaking of insensitivity, I wonder if Bam has seen Roger Ebert lately. He should know Ebert doesn’t have a mouth to shut.

Sidenote: Facebook removed Roger Ebert’s fan page for being hateful, threatening or obscene. Update: Facebook says the page was taken down by mistake.

Sidenote 2: Perez Hilton also got a few tweets in but who cares because f**k him.

At the Toronto Film Festival press screening of Slumdog Millionaire, Danny Boyle’s new film, last Saturday, New York Post film critic Lou Lumenick started yelling “Don’t touch me!” as the lights dimmed.
At the Toronto Film Festival press screening of Slumdog Millionaire, Danny Boyle’s new film, last Saturday, New York Post film critic Lou Lumenick started yelling “Don’t touch me!” as the lights dimmed. Ten minutes go by and he yells again, “I said don’t touch me!” Minutes pass again, but this time, Lou “stands up in the darkness and thwacks the guy behind him with a big festival binder. He hit him so hard everybody could hear it. Everyone freaked out and turned around.”

It turns out Lou hit Chicago-Sun Times critic Roger Ebert who was tapping him on the shoulder trying to signal him to move over a bit because he couldn’t see the movie. Roger Ebert, of course, can no longer speak because of thyroid and salivary gland cancer. The source tells NYDN that although Loumenick was surprised at who he hit, but didn’t apologize.

Bwahahahaha. Sorry, I shouldn’t laugh, but it sounds hilarious. I can just imagine Lou hitting Ebert with a big binder and the only thing the mute Ebert can do is sit there with a scared look on his face, waving his hands wildly in the air trying to telepathically tell him, “Please, mister. No more, no more!”
