This is very good news. Samuel L. Jackson has finally joined the 140 character or less blogging service Twitter. Probably to promote The Avengers. He’s @SamuelLJackson and each update is as hilarious as you’d expect. Samplings include,

- Can-a muh fukkasay fuck on here?
- I got gnats in my muthafukkin’ dressing room!
- U know dats my shit MYFRIEND! U MONEYFONDLER U!
- I’m feelin’ da love! U got a muhfukka all choked up!

It’s unclear whether he’ll consistently update but I’ll be sitting on the edge of my muthafukkin seat waiting for these muthfaukkin’ gnats to get out of my room until he does.

The trailer for the upcoming Avengers movie finally debuted on the web so now all the superheroes in those so-so movies you watched this year will be teaming up to give you even more mediocrity. The only thing I ask from this movie is Robert Downey Jr. not dial it in and more shots of Scarlett Johansson clad in leather standing in front of explosions for no reason at all. It’s just so cool, man! Even Michael Bay got an erection.

For a movie that’s hasn’t even been released yet, Snakes on a Plane looks like it’s already a cult movie. No other movie was reshot after wrapping up in order to put in more gore, more nudity and more death. No other movie has spawned a Sam Jackson sound-a-like to say “I want these motherfucking snakes off the motherfucking plane!” and then have their line be put in the movie. Awesome. The movie looks dumb as hell, but it feels like the last summer blockbuster because of all this buzz. Anyone think this is going to break some records or think it’s going to bomb? I’d laugh my ass off if this does better than MI:3.
