While America’s most beloved singer, Beyonce Knowles, announced her pregnancy during the MTV Video Music Awards and received congratulations from most everyone, her forgotten sister, Solange, and her banana balloon were being threatened at knife point by cops in Miami beach.

On Sunday, Solange tweeted, “A police officer just pulled a weapon on me… I have done NOTHING illegal, against the law, or anything of the sort,” continuing, “I am simply tired of police using arrogance, ego and authority as an offense.” A detective explained to E!:

“The whole entire incident was about the fact that she was not allowed in a club. When she became abusive, she was pulled to the side. There was no mention of a gun. Considering it might be an internal investigation I can’t tell you much other than that,”

But, Solange has a different story. She said, “Never once during the incident did I even raise my voice. I feel very strongly about standing up for myself when something is wrong and am very disappointed in the way that the Miami [Beach] Police Department has handled the case.” Given the “sequence of false statements” made by police, Solange gave her side to E! News.

Solange says she and two friends somehow acquired a large banana balloon at a club and they decided to keep it to give to a friend’s kid the next day. They cabbed it to another club but were told they couldn’t bring in the banana balloon.

They then went across the street to deflate the balloon where two police officers started chatting them up. That’s when things went downhill for her and her banana balloon.

“One officer pulled out a switchblade and threatened to pop the balloon. They felt it was inappropriate, but the turning point happened when he then took out the switchblade a second time with the blade open and said to them, ‘I don’t find the humor in this, anymore.’ The blade was less than a couple feet away from Solange and her friends.”

The officer proceeded to “forcefully” ask them to move, gesturing that they cross the street though there was oncoming traffic, the rep continues.

“Solange then asked the officer what was it that they did wrong, and he forcefully responded again to move,” she told E! News. “When a taxi pulled up, they got in and headed home. Solange made a series of calls to report the incident and was told to be prepared to be arrested when she came in to report the incident if her story was false. Solange simply wanted to report that the officer pulled out a weapon, when she had done nothing illegal, disruptive or belligerent.” — E! News

According to MBPD, Knowles was the one who became unruly and they asked her to go across the street to calm down. They claim Solange was yelling about being turned away from a club for racial reasons. “The whole entire incident was about the fact that she was not allowed in a club. And when she became abusive, she was pulled to the side. There was no mention of a gun. Considering it might be an internal investigation, I can’t tell you much other than that.”

It’s weird how two paths can diverge. Solange Knowles once sang in Beyonce’s group Destiny’s Child. Both had solo careers but only one of them took off. Now Beyonce is one of the most popular and beloved artists in the world, is married to Jay-Z and is about to have a baby. Meanwhile, basement baby Solange Knowles walks around Miami with a large banana balloon being threatened at knife point by cops.

Last week, Solange Knowles, sister of Beyonce, initiated a barrage of Tweets detailing everything from before she passed out at LAX from “dehydration” to after she woke up in the hospital with an IV stuck in her arm. It was fascinating.

The picture above of Solange with her blankie is moments after she passed out at LAX’s baggage claim. Looks like the Knowles missed their chance to ship her off to Japan. It would have been hilarious if she woke up at a subway station late at night surrounded by a bunch of pervy men groping at her and wearing panties on their heads.

Solange Knowles made an appearance on Fox News Las Vegas to promote her new album “Sol-Angel & The Hadley Street Dreams”. Before the show, she was asked to talk about Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in Vegas closing down. Solange declined to discuss it. The show got awkward really quick when Solange said, “I have to say that was not a very professional introduction before. Please don’t tie me into family and my brother-in-law’s establishment.” The news anchor, confused, apologized and said she didn’t think they talked about Jay-Z’s club in the intro. A little voice then told Solange, “That wasn’t live, Solange. That wasn’t on TV.”

Owned! The fact that Solange spent the rest of the interview hiding her embarrassment behind a facade of indignation only adds to the hilarity. This would have been gold if the interviewer muttered, “What a fucking bitch,” under her breath and the mic picked it up. Solange might have chocked a bitch. Watch the clip here.
