Girl power could be back. According to Geri Halliwell, a.k.a Ginger Spice, talks are underway to bring the Spice Girls back for a third time.

The singer, who famously quit the girl band in May 1998, says she and the other members – Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Mel C – are considering getting back for a third time.

She told ITV’s This Morning: ‘We are gathering information about a possibility, but when you are evolving a plan, you don’t want to share it with the world.’

This is good news for anyone worried that there was a gap in the “loudmouthed moms trying too hard to be sexy while wearing age-inappropriate clothing and dancing awkwardly” market since your grandmother got drunk and rowdy at that reunion. Or that Madonna’s most recent tour wrapped up.

While the Spice Girls’ first performance in London on Saturday was sold out, ticket sales for their Monday performance was less than stellar. Their show was less than half full by the time they took the stage.

Some ticket agencies were reportedly selling seats at the last minute at a one-third discount. The group will play Madison Square Garden Feb. 18, with top seats going for $149.50.

Really? This is shocking? What did everyone think was going to happen? That by some magical happenstance people were going to forget they sucked? They had one hit song that they milked for two years. I wouldn’t pay one cent to watch these grannies writhe around on stage. They should be at home telling stories that begin with, “When I was your age….” God, going to one of their concerts must be depressing. That shit was more than 11 years ago. Those memories should have been buried with the rest of your embarrassing moments like when your mom walked in on you jerking off to your sister’s naked Barbie. If you’re still into the Spice Girls, you might as well kill yourself.

The Spice Girls kicked off the British leg of their tour at the O2 Arena over the weekend. It was an interesting night as Scary Spice simulated some “lewd acts” with a male dancer, they changed eight times during their performance, Baby Spice couldn’t dance because of an injured ankle, a lump of boob flesh fell out of the side of Posh Spice’s dress in what the The Daily Mail deems “a wardrobe malfunction”….

Dear lord. That goes beyond a wardrobe malfunction. I don’t know how this concert sold out in 38 seconds at $150 a ticket. Seeing a bunch of gimpy geriatrics gyrating around on stage with loose flesh gushing out of their outfits is not my idea of a good time. This is like a disturbing competition between the Spice Girls to see who can make an audience member vomit first. In other words, their world tour is a dream come true.

The Spice Girls performed for the first time in 10 years at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Thursday night. The over the hill mothers lip-synced two songs, Stop and Headlines (Friendship Never Ends). The all girl group also had their fair share of supporters which included Eva Longoria, Lauren Conrad, Hayden Panettiere and Ryan Seacrest.

“I was dancing and singing along. I loved it,” raved Hayden Panettiere. “The Spice Girls were great. I knew every word to the first song. Enough said.”

“They looked hot!” added Ryan Seacrest. “I’m looking forward to hearing the album and seeing the full show.”

Afterwards, Ryan went home to play with his dollies and bake cookies in his EZ-bake oven and do whatever other things effeminate men do. Cry? Probably. Yea. He went home and cried too.

The Spice Girls will reunite for the first time since breaking up in 2001 with the original five members they had back in 1998. The girl group managed to ride the wave of fame off of one really crappy single aptly titled Wannabe and spun it into an equally crappy movie.

You could now call them the Spice Mums. Beckham said the tour will be designed to accommodate the band members’ seven children. Bunton is pregnant with her first child.

“Our priority is going to be our families. We want to have fun,” said Beckham, who has three sons with her husband, soccer star David Beckham. “That’s one of the many reasons for this, for our children to see what we used to do.”

Wannabe was released in 1996. That’s 11 years ago. 4 of them are moms and 1 of them is pregnant which can only lead to sexy results. The only question left is, how sexy? Here’s an old picture below. And an HQ of the new one here.
