T.I. got in trouble with prison officials over the weekend after guards caught his wife, Tiny, giving him a handjob during visiting hours. He’s now been thrown into a special unit.

T.I.’s wife Tiny confirms … the two were in a room together during regular visiting hours at Arkansas State Prison when Tiny made like Michael Jackson … and beat it.

According to prison guidelines, inmates are allowed to kiss and embrace at the beginning and at the end of a visit as well as hold hands — but “the inmate’s hands must remain in plain view of Visiting Room staff at all times.”

Tiny tells us T.I. was immediately reprimanded and sent to a “Special Housing Unit” — which consists of more security and less freedom.

TMZ has more info on what T.I. said to the jumper he talked down off a ledge in Atlanta yesterday. T.I. says he heard about the jumper on the radio, went to the scene and asked a cop if there was anything he could do to help.

Cops told the jumper T.I. wanted to talk to him. The jumper, not believing it, was sent a cell phone recording of T.I. giving him a message. The guy came down 15 minutes later.

But what exactly did T.I. tell the guy while he was on the ledge and after he came down? This. T.I. told him this. “I want to speak to you, and that it’s not that bad. I’m willing to do whatever it is to help the situation, but I can’t do that unless you help me help you.”

Once the guy came off the ledge into the lobby, T.I. got philosophical and laid it on thick. “No matter how bad things get they get better … if you unplug the game then you don’t get extra men … when it gets bad, you feel bad, but it can get better.”

T.I. says he plans to keep in touch with the man saying he’ll do anything to help make him better.

In what could have turned into a bad situation or a publicity stunt gone wrong, T.I. talked a suicidal man off a 22-story ledge in Atlanta on Wednesday afternoon.

Cops were called about a man threatening to jump off a building in downtown Atlanta where Ryan Cameron does his radio show. T.I. heard about it, put on his cape and tights and recorded a video message that cops played for the man. In the video, T.I. said, “Nothing is that bad. Nothing in life is worth taking your life. I’m here to help you. Please come down to talk to me.”

The man came down, met T.I. in the lobby and the two talked things out. Then they left with a bro hug and shared a cup of sizzurp. No charges will be pressed against the man.

If I were T.I., I would have John Cusack’d it and held a boombox over my head while Third Eye Blind’s Jumper blasted out of it. Granted, the guy would have jumped off the ledge like he was Carl Lewis but there’s always the off chance someone likes that terrible song and that’s a risk I’m willing to take. I’m brave!

Cops pulled over T.I. and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle Wednesday night for making an illegal U-turn in their Maybach on Sunset Blvd. They smelled marijuana and searched the car where they found controlled substances. The class of the substances includes meth and ecstasy. They were both arrested and booked on felony possession of a controlled substance. T.I. is currently on probation after serving seven months in prison for trying to purchase an automatic weapon at a gun show.

Photos of the arrest suggest T.I. and his wife were sippin’ on Sizzurp/Purple Drank/Codeine Syrup. TMZ says codeine falls under the class of drugs they were arrested for and it is also the main ingredient in Sizzurp. Also, it’s typically put in Styrofoam cups.

There must to be a reason why it has to be in Styrofoam cups because if I were them, I’d have hidden it in a McDonald’s plastic cup. There’s nothing more suspicious than two black people in an expensive car with Styrofoam cups in every cup holder. That’s the first thing they teach you in cop school during racial profiling class.

Update: Sources say police found a small amount of ecstasy in the car.

Rapper T.I. was arrested in 2007 and charged with possession of three unregistered machine guns, two silencers and possession of firearms by a convicted felon. Today he was sentenced to one year and one day in jail for those crimes. He has 30 to 60 days to check into prison.

27-year-old rapper, T.I., real name, Clifford Harris, is set to appear in court on Monday on federal weapons charges. Authorities allege T.I., a convicted felon, planned to pick up machine guns and silencers through his bodyguard.

Agents with the federal bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives arrested Harris on Saturday in midtown Atlanta. Authorities say other firearms were found in his vehicle and in his suburban Atlanta home.

Harris is charged with possession of unregistered machine-guns and silencers, as well as possession of firearms by a convicted felon.

Harris allegedly brokered the deals through the bodyguard because he is a convicted felon. It is a violation of federal law for a convicted felon to have another person purchase or acquire firearms on his behalf.

When asked what the guns were for, T.I. responded, “Hunting.” “Hunting what?” they inquired. “Hunting the deadliest game of all. Man,” said T.I. with a loud cackle. That guy is weird. Why can’t he settle his differences with words instead of guns like me. Granted, my words are engraved on the side of a baseball bat, but I feel my point is still valid.
