George Takei taped a mock PSA in response to Tim Hardaway’s views on gay people. Even worse, Tim’s now banned from all future NBA events because of his diatribe. I don’t know how Tim will take this. He may laugh or he may take a long hot shower scrubbing himself with steel wool or he may even be somewhat aroused.

Former Miami Heat player Tim Hardaway expressed his sentiments about homosexuals on a radio show yesterday. The question posed to him was how he would deal with a gay teammate.

“First of all I wouldn’t want him on my team,” said Hardaway. “Second of all, if he was on my team I would really distance myself from him because I don’t think that’s right and I don’t think he should be in the locker room when we’re in the locker room.”

Right away the host jumped on Tim labeling his comments bigoted and homophobic. Tim took this to heart and responded with,

“Well, you know, I hate gay people,” Hardaway said in response to Le Batard. “I let it be known I don’t like gay people. I don’t like to be around gay people. I’m homophobic. It shouldn’t be in the world, in the United States, I don’t like it.”

Uh oh, looks like someone needs to go to bigotry rehab. On a brighter note, Timmy and Isaiah Washington? Ding ding ding. I think we have a perfect match.
