Woody Harrelson attacked a TMZ photog for the second time on Wednesday. The first incident came in 2006 when Woody broke a TMZ camera and choked the cameraman.

On Wednesday, Woody was at La Guardia airport when a photog started asking him a few questions. Woody shoved his camera in his face and took it from him. TMZ continues:

Our photog says Woody smashed the camera to the ground, breaking it. Harrelson then picked the camera up and began walking away with it. The photog followed Woody, claiming he was assaulted and demanded that Woody return the camera. That’s when Harrelson attacked again, striking the photog repeatedly and grabbing his neck. Our cameraman shot the action with his flip cam.

Just once I’d like to see a photog defend themselves when they’re attacked and not cry like a little girl. I guess they can’t sue, but it would be pretty sweet to see Woody Harrelson acting big and tough punching a guy and then the guy turns around and knocks him out with an elbow. That or when a celebrity starts going off, karate chop them in the throat. That should shut them up pretty quick.

According to MediaBuffet, a TMZ defector claims the Rihanna police photo set the gossip site back $62,500. The same source reveals $22,000 was paid for the Octo-Mom pregnant belly photo and $165k for a hidden tape of the OJ break-in.

Since the photo’s release, a debate has sparked over the ethics of publishing such material. Rihanna’s father says it’s a good and bad thing and that at least now people will be able to grasp the situation.

In either case, $62 grand?! I would have bid at most $10 and a slice of pizza. It may seem a little on the low side, but I’ll have you know, it was a big slice of pizza and had almost three toppings.

A photo of a battered Rihanna made the rounds on the internet late last night. Subsequently, the LAPD launched an internal investigation into who leaked the photo to TMZ. They ask that you contact them if you have any information because they’re stumped.

At about 7 p.m. on February 19, 2009, the Los Angeles Police Department Media Relations Section began receiving numerous inquiries about the release of a photograph associated with a domestic violence incident that occurred on February 8, 2009, involving entertainer Chris Brown. The photograph appeared on an entertainment website. The photograph has the appearance of one taken during an official Domestic Violence investigation.

The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence.

The Department launched an immediate internal investigation and subsequently filed a personnel complaint.

A violation of this type is considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including termination.

On the flip side, it took this long for the photo to leak anyway. By LAPD standards, that’s a huge improvement. They must be taking out the hourly donut and celebrity roundtable discussions and doing actual work.
