Last week, Zac Efron dropped a magnum condom on the red carpet of The Lorax premiere. Today on TODAY, Matt Lauer confronted the 24-year-old about it.

Lauer asked Zac to take him through what happened. Uh, well, he took his hand out of his pocket and a condom dropped out. There’s not much else to say. However, that’s not what Zac said. He replied, “I don’t want to take you through it.”

With enough pressuring, Zac finally admits he dropped something and that since then he’s instituted a pocket-checking policy. Something? “Say it, say it!” “Condom!” *Zac Efron begins to sparkle*

Lauer eventually said the c-word. To which Zac replied, “That was really hard for you to say!” But he managed to end the interview with an educational message. “Always remember to bag it when you’re doing a dirty ho,” said Efron.

Lindsay Lohan sat down for an exclusive interview with Matt Lauer and did the same song and dance she’s done in every interview before. She promises she’s “clean and sober” and wants “to continue to move forward in the right direction.” Let’s listen to her excuses and how she’s changed for the 20th time.

On if Lindsay was in denial the last time they spoke: “Definitely,” Lohan said. “And I think it was — it’s a scary thing to have to kind of express to people … I wasn’t as comfortable with myself then. I think it was a fear factor that I had about what was really going on. And, you know, I had to get that wakeup call.”

On if she still likes to party: “That’s not my thing anymore. I went out, actually, a few months ago with a friend. And I was so uncomfortable. Not because I felt tempted, just because it was just the same thing that it always was before. And it just wasn’t fun for me. I’ve become more of a homebody. And I like that.” (That’s a lie)

On whether or not anyone in the industry will back her anymore: “I think that that’s gonna take — I think that takes time,” Lohan said. “And I think that it’s actions. Because people can say things all they want, but I think I still need to go through the process of proving myself, you know, with ‘SNL,’ being on time, being, you know, keeping my — can’t say the word — but stuff together.”

On her first real acting job in years: “We’re in the middle of casting and figuring — we start production soon,” Lohan said. “I’ve been doing tons of research. But I’ve always kind of researched her. She’s always been a fascinating woman to me. So I’m really honored. And I will not let anyone down, especially myself.”

On why people shouldn’t be afraid to invest in her: “I don’t want people to have that reason to be scared anymore. So being able to have this opportunity with ‘SNL’ and the film, I’m gonna do what I’m supposed to do, and enjoy doing it, and do it as best as I can.”

I think the real wake-up call for Lindsay was when clubs started sending her to the back of the line and gifting suites had a picture of her up on the wall with the word “Blacklisted” underneath. That was her and Dina’s real “oh sh*t” moment. More so than the probation and house arrest.

The second part of Charlie Sheen’s Today Show interview aired this morning and it seemed relatively more calm than the last one. In the second half, NBC’s Jeff Rossen talks to his two live-in girlfriends, “Rach” and “Natty”, who he calls his “goddesses”.

When asked about what life is like, Natty said, “I told Charlie when I moved in, ‘I’m on the bus, and I don’t really care where the bus is going. That’s kind of how we live.’” She then added, “As long as that bus drives into a pile of cash, I mean.” A few more quotes culled by Popeater:

Charlie Sheen sounds and acts more and more like a cult leader each day. His cult looks a lot more fun than other cults though. Instead of a mass suicide, they just do a lot of blow and have a lot of sex.

A 13-year-old girl accused of being an accomplice in a text message war was interviewed on the Today Show Thursday morning when she caught the censors off-guard and casually said “cunt” twice. This was right after she called a guy a rapist. High-five, little kid. [Gawker]

Meredith Baxter Birney, who has five kids from three marriages, went on The Today Show this morning too announce that she is lesbian. Meredith didn’t think it was a big deal. She only wanted to announce it after being under pressure from tabloids like The National Enquirer who recently printed pictures of her and her partner on a lesbian cruise.

Meredith, who played Mrs. Keaton, Michael J. Fox’s mom on Family Ties, says she discovered herself seven years ago. Four years ago she met Nancy Locke who she’s still with to this day.

Congratulations, I guess. I wish other women would come out as lesbian or, better yet, bisexual. I’m looking at you Ashley Greene and Alessandra Ambrosio. That way in my fantasy when those two pick me up at a grocery store and bring me to their mansion to judge their lingerie pillow fight and kissing technique, the only unrealistic part will be that I was buying milk when they hit on me. I’m lactose intolerant, you see.

Bruno got emotional during an interview with Matt Lauer of the Today show when Lauer informed Bruno that the Austrian Minister to Great Britain had called for a boycott of the film Bruno.

A distraught Bruno, who said it was the first time he was hearing this, asked for a close-up on his sad face and went in to hug Matt. The show faded out before they embraced. Which sucked. I wanted some closure.

Al Roker was probably pissed off that he had to interview the wastes of space Heidi and Spencer Pratt. Which is why he felt the need to eviscerate them on the Today show. He called them “the poster children for everything that is wrong with celebrity in this country.” He gave up caring 30 seconds into the interview. The exact moment is marked by the big sigh he gives.

Roker then kept trying to get Spencer to admit he’s a douchebag and then talked to Heidi like she was a little girl asking her questions like, “Are you proud of yourself?” Heidi, who probably isn’t, said she wasn’t ashamed.

After the interview, Heidi ran to Ryan Seacrest whining about how Al Roker personally attacked her on live TV and said he might be abusive towards women.

“I was shocked at how rude he was – I was crying afterwards because I couldn’t believe I felt personally attacked … I wanted to say to him, do you feel proud of how you’re talking to me right now? I’m just a young woman and you’re coming at me so aggressively and meanly [sic] and mean-spirited.”

“I just wanted to talk about the show and my experience there and how fun it was, and he just made it a very uncomfortable and awful experience … I really would advise women especially to be careful around him because I feel like he definitely came and attacked me and I did not appreciate that at all.”

Al Roker, in the meantime, went on Twitter and in 140 characters or less, wrote:

Heidi and Spencer are an interesting couple. famous for…being infamous. Bad and vacuous behavior. I think we’re at minute 11 of their 15.

At least this is better than the interview I would have given. Mine would just be me sitting down, smiling at Spencer and then punching him in the face. Of course, I’d apologize right after because I had forgotten to ask Spencer my question, “May I punch you in the face?” In my defense, he would have probably said no.

Miss California Carrie Prejean hit up the Today Show to discuss her vocal opposition to gay marriage. Last Sunday, Prejean said that due to her beliefs, she believed that marriage was between a man and a woman. This morning she defended herself to Matt Lauer and told him that if she could go back and do it again, she wouldn’t change a thing. Of course, Perez Hilton, the judge who asked the question during competition, was there via Skype to bitch and moan over what Prejean said because if you don’t agree with Perez Hilton, then you are wrong. In either case, who cares if people of the same sex marry each other. It’s not going to affect me in any way. What is going to affect me is having to listen to Perez be a whiny bitch because in his world, it’s whoever screams the loudest that wins. And I sure as hell don’t want to hear that little piggy squeal while I’m trying to surf for porn.
