This morning on The View, Whoopi Goldberg lifted up her butt cheek and let one rip while chatting with guest Claire Danes. She didn’t try to hide it and even took some pride in it saying, “Excuse me, I think I just blew a little frog outta there!”

On July 2, animal control Officer Brendon Ocasio witnessed someone throwing a 5 week old kitten out of their car and against the wall of New York City’s Verrazano-Narrows bridge. Today, Whoopi Goldberg officially adopted the Russian blue cat.

“For all of you who remember me on The View meeting Verrazano,” she wrote, “I adopted him and I was finally able to take him home.”

Now nicknamed Vinny, the feline is settling well into his new digs but has one more challenge to overcome: Goldberg’s other cat, Oliver.

“Oliver’s not too happy but, Vinny is having the time of his life,” she said. “I think he’ll get Oliver to come around sooner than later.” — PEOPLE

For those of you who want to re-home your unwanted kittens and puppies really quick, go ahead and throw them out of your car as you drive across the Verrazano bridge. I’m not sure if this works for babies as well but there’s only one way to find out. Someone call up Benicio del Toro.

News surfaced yesterday that Whoopi Goldberg smoked weed before her Oscar win in 1991. During a voice-over recording session for The Pagemaster in 1992, Whoopi described the “wonderful joint” she smoked to calm her nerves before winning Best Support Actress for Ghost. No one could tell she was baked except for her mother who called her and said she figured it out by her “glistening eyes.”

Now TMZ unearthed a clip from her Oscar speech so you can see for yourself whether or not she was high as f**k. Video re-upped by Dlisted.

Hindsight is 20/20 so, yea, she does seem high, but then again, with that much adrenaline running through someone when they win an Oscar, almost everyone seems high as hell.

The New York Times ran an article over the weekend called Hollywood’s Whiteout about how there are no black actors nominated for an Oscar this year. The piece seemed to list all the black actors who won an Oscar and appeared to leave out Whoopi Goldberg who won for best supporting actress in 1990.

Whoopi, having only seemingly skimmed the article, was filled with such righteous indignation that she went on The View and started wah-wahing about how they left her out. She’s important! Whoopi said, “When you win an Academy Award, that’s part of what you’ve done, your legacy. I will always be Academy Award winner Whoopi Goldberg. This is not hidden information. And to these two critics, the head critics of The New York Times. It’s hard not to take it personally.” Much like they can never take away my title as one time kickball champion of 2nd grade.

Popeater, who actually read the article, noted that the authors were only talking about actors from the past nine years after Denzel Washington and Halle Berry won their awards. Apparently Whoopi only saw her name missing from a list of black actors and her eyes filled with such rage that her reading comprehension went out the window. “People in Somalia know. People in China know. I know it’s hard to believe, but I’m a worldwide person who’s known.” Me! Me! Me!

The gist of this is that woman in Ghost has a chip on her shoulder and demands recognition for that award she won 21 years ago. And maybe she’d get it too if she didn’t star in movies like Sister Act and Sister Act 2. She sounds like the kid who gets mad because he’s picked last and constantly reminds everyone about that sweet catch he made two grades ago but glosses over all the other times he spazzed out on the field. What I’m saying is I’m pretty sure someone pushed Whoopi’s whiny ass into a puddle after the show.

Especially Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar. Bill O’Reily was a guest on The View this morning and as expected, got into an argument with everyone. If this was an MMA match, the announcer would point out that O’Reily’s keys to victory are “shouting real loud and being condescending.” Because that’s how an argument is won.

Anyway, Whoopi and Joy got up and left after Bill said “Muslims killed us on 9/11″. If I’m understanding this correctly, they had to go to the ladies room and you know how women always need someone to go with them. Ha, girls! Amirite?

Whoopi Goldberg says Mel Gibson is NOT racist even though in two different tapes you can hear Mel referring to black people as “niggers” that run in “packs” and Mexicans as “wetbacks” who he’ll deport without hesitation. Whoopi thinks Mel is just misunderstood.

“I know Mel, and I know he’s not a racist,” Whoopi said on ‘The View’ on Monday, seeming both earnest and cautious to weigh in. “I have had a long friendship with Mel. You can say he’s being a bonehead, but I can’t sit and say that he’s a racist having spent time with him in my house with my kids. I don’t like what he’s done, make no mistake.”

When Joy Behar asked if Goldberg considered Gibson anti-Semitic after his 2006 tirade against a Jewish police officer in LA , Goldberg began calling him “an ass” before stifling herself. Whoopi then pinpointed alcohol as the culprit. “Drunks say stupid stuff to people all the time — because they’re drunk, they’re out of control, they are not thinking, they are idiotic. I can’t say anything about people like that because I know what they’re like when they’re drunk. This rant? I don’t think he’s drunk on this rant.”

Whoopi concluded: “I’m not defending Mel. I’m simply saying I don’t see him as [a racist] because that’s not been my experience with him.”

Whoopi’s argument is he didn’t call her the N word and say she runs in a pack while he was visiting her house. Oh well la-dee-da. I’m pretty sure serial killers don’t dismember their victims in a police station either. That’s about a convincing an argument as saying Jessica Simpson isn’t food obsessed because you’ve never seen her stuff a whole turkey down her throat. Her thighs are proof enough.

John McCain was a guest on that estrogen fueled talk show The View today. During the interview, McCain said he wanted to constitution to be interpreted the way it was originally intended. Whoopi got a little heated and asked, “Should I be worried about being a slave, about being returned to slavery because crtain things happened in the Constitution that you had to change?” McCain looked like a deer in headlights and stuttered a correction and Barbara, concerned, assured Whoopi that “Us white folk would take care of you.”

Uhh… well… I’m sure Whoopi and Sherri are overjoyed to hear that they’d be taken care of by those magnanimous white folk. Unless, what Barbara meant by “taking care of” was that white folk would give Whoopi a real nice shack to stay in on their plantation, in which case, awkwaaarrrd.

For whatever reason, Disney started a campaign of using celebrities as Disney characters. They have Tina Fey as Tinkerbell, Giselle Bundchen and Mikhail Baryshnikov as Wendy and Peter Pan, Whoopi Goldberg as Genie, Jessica Biel as Pocahontas and Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony as Jasmine and Aladdin. Missing from the set are Paris and Nicky Hilton as the evil stepsisters, Hayden Panettiere as one of the Seven Dwarves and me as either Hercules, Tarzan or Prince Charming.

Oprah Winfrey recently held the Legends Ball which honored important black women. A few of the people who were invited included “Mariah Carey, Maya Angelou, Gladys Knight, Toni Morrison, Angela Bassett, Audra McDonald, and Brandy”.

However, Oprah did not invite her fellow co-star in The Color Purple, Whoopi Goldberg. Even though I think Whoopi has no talent, you would think she would get an invite. Hasn’t she been around since the 1920′s? The whole point of the event was to celebrate important black women. They even toasted Tyra Banks and Brandy. Two people that have set back the black movement by a decade.
