Winona Ryder recalled a time back in the 90′s when Mel Gibson launched a racial slur at her and she didn’t even realize it.

15 years ago at a big, fancy Hollywood party, Mel went up to Winona and her gay friend. After a “horrible gay joke,” it somehow came up that Winona was Jewish. That’s when Mel made a comment about “oven dodgers.” Winona didn’t understand what it meant until later.

“I’d never heard that before. It was just this weird, weird moment. I was like, ‘He’s anti-Semitic and he’s homophobic.’ No one believed me!”

Those shoplifting charges didn’t help her credibility but luckily she remembers this completely random event 15 years later. Coincidentally, during the promotional tour and Oscar push for Black Swan which she has a part in. Funny how things work out.

Last week, Winona Ryder executed a brilliant plan to make off with a bracelet and ring valued at more than $125,000. Ryder, who had the items out on loan, told Bulgari jewelers that she had “misplaced” them at the Marie Claire party in Madrid last Sunday. Ryder claims she put them in an envelope and gave them to the hotel’s front desk for safe keeping. The only problem was security cameras show that no such incident ever took place. Touché Bulgari.

The jewelers have asked Madrid police to investigate. Will they be able to crack this case? Probably not. Winona is a criminal mastermind. She probably hid the bracelet and ring where no one would ever suspect. On her own body. Hehehe, so clever.

Yesterday it was reported that a priority landing was made in order to take Winona Ryder to the hospital when she fell ill on a flight from Los Angeles to London. The Daily Mail says an overdose of tranquilizer tablets is thought to be the reason for the sudden landing.

The waif-like American, who made her name in Edward Scissorhands starring Johnny Depp with whom she also had a relationship, is known to hate flying.

And she is thought to have collapsed twice on Flight 282 after taking too many Xantax pills, which are used to combat anxiety.

Although her publicist refused to confirm the nature of the star’s illness last night, she said her client was discharged an hour later ‘in good health’.

She probably took 15 Xanax’s and ended up slurring something about a fairy and mittens while everyone held their wallets and purses close to their chests before passing out twice. Being on a flight with Winona must be scary. I’d rather be locked in an airplane bathroom with an angry badger. If I sat next to her, I’d start freaking out after she gave me her googly eyes and her half-smile and scramble to inflate that raft under my seat. But, wait. Where is it?! My god, man, where is that raft!

A priority landing was requested by the captain of a flight from Los Angeles to London after Winona Ryder fell ill. She was immediately taken to the hospital upon landing.

“She did fall ill on a flight and as a precautionary measure, was taken to a hospital,” said a spokeswoman for Ryder. “She was there maybe an hour and was released. The bottom line is she is in good health.”

Winona was hospitalized as a “precautionary measure” only to be discharged an hour later. No word on the mystery illness. Witnesses did, however, report that Winona saw someone, some… thing, on the wing of the plane, confirming the rampant rumors that Winona is cuckoo.

Every year Spike TV holds its annual Scream Awards to celebrate hot chicks in horror movies. At least I think that’s what it’s all about. In 2002, Winona Ryder was convicted of shoplifting $6,000 worth of clothing from Saks Fith Avenue. Now, six years later, Winona was caught shoplifting again. This time stealing make-up from a CVC Pharmacy in Hollywood after buying a bunch of stuff.

A store employee is quoted as saying: “Winona had a bag of stuff, but she set off the theft alarm when she left the store.

“When a security guard stopped her, he found make-up she had not paid for.”

And when she was asked about the make-up, Winona answered: “I don’t know how that happened.”

The store employee added: “We took unpaid items back and she left the store.”

From Saks to CVC. How her star has fallen. She did have a good excuse though. She claimed ignorance. I’m going to say that next time I attempt anal.
