Chinese pirates, yarrr

Two weeks ahead of the US premiere, China’s movie pirates have already begun selling bootlegged copies of “Spider-Man 3” at a little over $1. Mocking the MPAA, they have printed in Chinese on the back a warning against pirating the film.

The Hollywood Reporter says the discs won’t work in a normal DVD player, typical of these pirated copies. A fairly odd statement since tv and movies have taught me Chinese people are smart in everything electronic. Knowing that, I’m pretty sure whoever wrote that is lying and these DVDs would work in anything with a slot. I actually have it on good authority that when you put this puppy in a toaster, a 42-inch LCD pops out along with robot hands programmed to massage your back while you pirate your way to pleasure.
