Scientology whores out Bart Simpson

Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart Simpson, is a known Scientologist. That fact didn’t bother anyone much because she mostly kept it to herself. Things have changed, however.
It seems Nancy has been robocalling using the voice of Bart Simpson to promote her speaking engagement at the Scientology Center.
This little stunt is going to backfire. A record number of people could show up to hear her talk about OT 7, but half of them will want her to do the whole thing in the voice of Bart Simpson. And out of that half you have the hardcore Simpsons fanboys who are only interested in hearing Nancy repeat what Bart said in Episode #327. When it’s time for the Q&A portion, there’s a good chance it will turn into a mini Comic-Con. And you know at one point someone’ s going to say, “Worst. Speech. Ever.”

And what better way for her to get free publicity about it than to use Bart Simpson’s voice? That way, everyone will be talking about whether it’s appropriate or not, et cetera. Nice marketing, there, Scientology.
