Chris Brown issues an apology

On Sunday, a week after he turned himself over to authorities, Chris Brown released a statement saying he was “sorry and saddened” about what happened between him and Rihanna last week and that he’s seeking counseling.

“Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person.”

However, in addition to his apology, Brown added that much of what people have read in the media and in blogs is wrong. Sites like TMZ, citing law enforcement officials, claim Rihanna suffered “horrific” injuries which included contusions, bite marks, split lip and bruises.

“Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds.”

Glad to know God will counsel him. I just hope God doesn’t get too mouthy. I don’t need God calling me up in the middle of the night telling me how Chris slapped him around and how he’s leaving him for good this time only to see them back together the next week.
