Celebrities are sad

In the wake of Brittany Murphy’s death, celebrities have come out to express their condolences. Alicia Silverstone who starred with Murphy in Clueless released this statement.

“I’m so saddened to hear this news. I loved working with Brittany. She was so talented, so warm and so sweet. I always felt connected to her as we shared a very special experience in our lives together. I feel love in my heart for her-and hope she is at peace.”

Ashton Kutcher who dated Murphy in 2003 also released a statement. In 140 characters or less. Classy.

“2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine. My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany’s family, her husband, & her amazing mother Sharon … See you on the other side kid.”

The NDYN published a bunch of others.

Jessica Simpson: “Brittany Murphy was an incredible ray of Light to so many people. Her smile was contagious. My prayers are with her family and loved ones.”

Candace Cameron: “So sad to hear about Brittany Murphey. :( My favorite was her voice in Happy Feet. Many prayers sent out to her family from us.”

Alyssa Milano: “Brittney Murphy and I did a USO Tour together in 2003. ? She was a sweet soul, with a lot of talent and heart.”

Kathy Najimy: “so sad this is truly a waste. feeling regret we didnt’ do more. i love you so much Brittany and always will.”

Kim Kardashian: “I am in shock that Britney Murphy has died! Clueless is my all time favorite movie. My prayers go out to her family & husband”

Melissa Joan Hart: “I’m so sad to hear of the passing of a peer of mine! RIP Brittany Murphy! We will miss you and all the talent you shared!”

Soleil Moon Frye: “I am beyond words by the loss of Brittany Murphy. I was so blessed to know your grace. My heart goes out to your mama loved ones.”

Lindsay Lohan: “My deepest condonlences go out to all of Brittany Murphy’s loved ones& may she rest in peace….She was a great talent w/a beautiful soul xo”

Eliza Dushku: “My heart aches having just learned of Brittany Murphy’s death. We were friends time-to-time thru the yrs. I always admired her pure spirit.”

Have you ever noticed people always find nice things to say when someone dies. Even if they secretly despised them. No one ever says, “Good riddance. What a jackass,”  or punched their corpse in the crotch like they said and did to me that one time I faked my death.
